Misam stepped back when she felt Nix's words being directed at her. She gulped nervously. Out of all her years of living disguised within the palace walls, she had never been scared until now. The man in front of her was nowhere joking about the question he just asked her, and she knew better than to waste time. However, confessing to her crimes, especially taking a life, was not something people willingly did.
Nix gazed at the young woman who wasn't willing to talk. He pushed the cell door open, walking casually to where Misam was chained. She turned her head to see what Nix was about to do, terror and shivers running down her spine.
