"Vayne Shunya? He is in ward 13A.", the nurse answered.
"Thank you!", a girl answered and hurried off.
The elevator was filled up but somehow she got in. After getting fed up of having to stop on floors, she ran out and climbed the rest ten floors.
Panting, she entered the room.
"Y-You little bastard! How dare you do this to us! You sick little piece of -", Rhea noticed that there was someone else in the room as well.
"S-Sorry aunt. Didn't mean to swear.", she faked a laugh.
Vayne chuckled as he tried to sit up.
"What the hell did you do this time? Sorry, what the _heck_ did you do this time?", Rhea demanded to know, scared of Mrs. Shunya's glare.
"He got burnt by a tributary fire.", Vayne's mother replied.
"How can someone be this dumb? How could something like this happen?!", she asked questions as fast as an uncontrollable toddler seeing anything of mild interest.
"I had stopped for some warmth and I think, I got more than I wanted. On a side note, what is up with that symbol?", Vayne replied, pointing to her forehead.
Rhea had a symbol of a dark hawk, with a flaming 'X' on its chest, on her forehead. These symbols were known as 'Pratek Sigils' used to differentiate between Clans.
"Oh.... I joined the Raven Masters.", Rhea answered hesitantly.
"WHAT!? Are you serious girl? Does Anton know about it? You are only 21, for gods' sake!", her aunt exclaimed with shock.
"I know, aunt. I will tell him soon enough. I think I need this. Let's talk about that later and talk about this brat." Rhea tried to change the topic. Mrs. Shunya understood and accepted the change.
"I am almost fully healed but only my hands...", Vayne's voice broke. "They will take a long time."
"Oh, it's fine I believe. You will be okay soon and then I will kick you in the a- abs.", Rhea tried to lift the mood.
Vayne felt relieved. He was stuck in limbo for three days and in the body of someone else for another three. His body was unconscious for six days. The someone else had defeated his hero and sent him, the strongest Champion, to a pathetic state of paradoxical existence.
He was unsure before whether his vision was real or not. However, the picture of Unpossible Man trapped in the stasis went viral on the internet before the Champion League tried to keep the matter confidential. They had secured the Undefeated Hero, defeated by words, in their facility.
On top of all this, he was burnt by a **TRIBUTARY FLAME** of all things. The all-preserving flames had harmed him. The gods were angry with him for some reason. Was he cursed? Who knows. At least, he didn't.
Vayne was a rational kid, but something about this all changed his mind.
A huge sound was heard. "LET US IN! IS THAT WHERE THE KID IS?" A huge flurry of noises was heard.
The gate was flung open. A mob of reporters entered the room. Every news channel wanted to cover the story of the boy who was attacked by the Flame, hours after Unpossible Man's defeat! The burnt boy who was unconscious for six days!
He was quickly surrounded by the journalists as cameras flashed and he was bombarded with questions. They had arrived six days ago as well. They had only questioned the family and friends then, now they could question the very boy, the flesh and blood of the story.
Vayne, reluctantly answered some of their questions as some were outright outrageous. His mother and cousin, Rhea pushed them away soon. A huge sigh of relief was let out by all three of them.
"Did he wake up today?", Rhea asked.
"Yes and he is getting discharged tomorrow. Gua-Lee had healed most of his injuries.", answered his mother. Gua-Lee was a champion with the ability to _"Take others pains as his"_ and was an ex-vice president of the Champion League. Everyone was shocked when he stepped up to help him. People had sighted him leaving with tears in his eyes.
"Are you kidding me? **The** Gua-Lee!"
"Yeah. No-one knows why."
Vayne looked out. He saw the beautiful scenery, knowing it was all a facade.
