Chapter 28 - Chapter 28 : Despair Is Spreading

Despite our requests, Masayoshi Son disclosed some information. But it deeply alarmed us.

The reason being that Yan Lielei's death was very exceptional.

This is the predicament. The room is filled with police officers, all of whom are concealed in the cabinets. If they heard Yan Lianglei's cries for assistance, they would be able to respond quickly and apprehend the murderer.

Yan Lianglei didn't utter a sound, though. The room's door unintentionally burst open at this precise time.

Then it appeared like someone entered.

Several police officers were standing by at this moment. Yan Lianglei, however, spoke out in an instant, "It's you." And then there was silence.

The entire room was empty and barren when the officers dashed out.

Yan Lielei collapsed into the bed after losing her breath.

Later, the cops searched the entire hotel but came up empty-handed.

"How could this happen?" you ask. I sprang to my feet and exclaimed, "There is no killer, therefore Yan Lianglei died this way?

"Yes, that's all there is to it." "Yan Lielei's death is really too weird," Sun Zhengyi remarked blankly as she turned to face me. She exhibited no unusual behaviour, yet she unexpectedly passed away.

"We're looking into the cause of her death. We'll let you know the outcome soon.

From the moment she shrieked these words until she passed away, it was a matter of seconds. If the murderer actually showed up in such a short amount of time, it would be difficult for him to elude capture. So she committed suicide rather than being killed by the murderer? I believe I asked him.

Despite my desire to respond, I am unable to. Sun Zhengyi glared at me and stated, "Everything must be decided by the medical examiner," in a helpless tone.

I sat down after nodding.

The classroom was already out of control when the police exited one by one.

Why is Yan Lianglei also deceased?

"It appears that Huang Quandai has been aware of it for a while. He committed Yan Lianglei's murder.

"The police are no longer reliable. The police are completely powerless to keep us safe.

What ought to we do? Who will rescue us?

The classroom was filled with a depressing mood, and many pupils started to cry. Boys and girls alike experienced deep-seated bewilderment and hopelessness.

A number of times, just as we though we had the killer and the demon Huang Quandai under control, he would suddenly reappear as a shadow. Kill once more after that.

Ma Liang, the middle-aged man, or anyone else is only a tool in Huang Quandai's hands.

He constantly operates covertly and has complete power over us. It's ironic that we believe we can fend him off.

I thought about how I could murder someone in public while being protected by so many police officers while I briefly closed my eyes. What is Huangquandai's secret?

Does he really possess the divine or demonic power to overcome our ability to resist?

But why doesn't he simply murder us if that's the case? Do we have to give up hope altogether?

The entire classroom was filled with cries and shouts. The chaotic mood spread throughout the group. At this point, a boy yelled, "I've made the decision to covertly sell my house. I won't give up, even if I lose everything.

"You're right, I can't keep doing this. I've got to go.

Zi Ruoling was overcome with sadness as she listened to everyone's sobs. She grasped my hand while appearing really frail.

Instantaneously, each person departed in turn. I continued to walk to the end this time.

I was the only person still there in the empty classroom at this time.

They claim that the scarier it is at night, the busier it gets during the day. This works in a classroom.

At night, the abandoned classroom was deserted.

My body began to feel chilly, and I immediately wanted to leave.

Just as I reached the door and turned to leave, a voice from behind me yelled, "Let's go quickly."

For a little while, I was astonished and tried to turn my head, but I discovered that I was unable to do so no matter what.

"You will die if you don't get out!" Once more, I heard a voice behind me.

I was frozen in place and rendered speechless.

But I had a sneaking suspicion that someone was following me.

I can tell that he is staring at me. He's speaking!

I'm not sure how long it took, but eventually my body stopped being rigid. I took a deep breath and turned to face the rear. There was still nothing behind me. Right now, it seemed like the sound was just in my head.

"I have no idea who you are or what you want. But what took place? I'm curious about the truth. Looking at the empty classroom in front of me, I questioned, but nobody responded.

I stayed for a bit, but nothing transpired, so I eventually departed after turning around.

The entire teaching facility was completely black when I departed, but for an elderly man who came out of the communication room and went slowly over. He surprised me by giving me a quick look before asking, "Why are you finishing school so late this time? For self-study, the period has already passed.

I shook my head as I blinked at him before saying, "Uncle, I want to ask you something, and you have to tell me no matter what."

Say, "Tell me." The uncle questioned as he turned to face me.

"The sweeper told me that a female had previously leaped off a building. Is this accurate? I questioned as I regarded him.

After a brief moment of shock, the uncle gave it some thinking before saying, "I can tell you, but you have to promise not to tell anyone else."

"I know, tell me," was said. I yelled joyfully as I turned to face him.

The uncle gave a brief nod before stating, "In reality, lots of people are aware of this issue. Three years ago, it took place. A girl died at that time after jumping from a building.

Do you know the name of the female, then? I was forced to ask.

"I have no knowledge of this." The uncle shook his head and pointed to a window, claiming, "That's where he jumped."

I was astounded at first. He wasn't aiming at our classroom, was he?

It appears that none of this is a coincidence. The girl who committed suicide by jumping off a building must be connected to the catastrophe that occurred in our school.

But why would she remind me to go if that's the case? What exactly is happening in our classrooms?

The uncle then said, to my utter confusion, that "I heard that the girl owed a lot of loans during her lifetime, and many people forced her to pay for the debt, and then, as a last resort, she committed suicide."

"What? This is how it is. I was so shocked that I was silent for a while.

Is the girl from three years ago speaking now, if what the uncle said is true?

But can such a creature exist in this world?

I quickly bid farewell to the uncle, turned around, and immediately departed after feeling a strong tremble.

But I didn't see that the guard's eyes had suddenly turned incredibly odd as I turned around.
