I broke the silence, 'Ah! Can you turn around the car, I don't want to go home, take me to Aura's place !'
"Aura's place? You sure? " he questioned.
'Yes !'
"Isn't her husband back home? How will you spend a night there, disturbing them?"
'Oh, right, I…'
"How about my place? I don't have my husband at home, and I live alone!" he winked.
'Pfft.. Haha…' I laughed out,' You are silly!' I patted his arm and sighed, 'Wish I had somewhere to go!'
"I understand, I'm just a plaything! You won't even consider me, my place!" his head dropped."Oh No! What am I to do? It was obvious, I took advantage of him, I can't even tell anything to make him smile, when he tried all means to cheer me up ! Should I tell, I'll go to his place?"
Kai snapped his fingers, at my face ,"Hey…Ash ... .Where is your focus? "
I blinked, 'Nothing!' I shook my head, looked out the windows, realizing the route is different, 'Where are we heading to?'
"My place!"
'Whaaa…at…? ' I shrieked.
"You were quiet when I asked, thought your silence is a yes!" he smiled wide, and lifted his chin as if it was right.
' Man…Isn't he cute when he does that like a child.' I grinned.
"So, What do you want for dinner? I can cook well, but it's too late, can we order takeaway?" his eyes gleamed.
'Whatever you want! '
"Really? Then let's order chinese? " he licked his lips.
'Fine with me!' I nodded.
"You know, I've always longed for this moment, to be with you, to be there for you, to give all of my love and cherish you with everything. I thought I won't stand a chance with Noah, but you are unbiased! "
'...' I was speechless and I realized I'm in trouble now.
" If not for that Noah..." he clenched his fist in anger.
'Why would he remind me of Noah, now? Darn, I went crazy when I had dinner with him! Ah…' I held my head.
He stopped suddenly, "What happened? Are you okay? " He touched my forehead and his face inches away.
'I am losing my mind whenever I'm with these guys! Why is my heart complicated? Why can't it find one person attractive? It does all kind of things whenever I'm with these two ,as if the other doesn't exist, when I'm with one!
I bit my lower lip and my fist curled up in confusion.
'Does your head hurt? What happened? ' he shook me off from my thoughts.
'I'm okay..I'm alright!' I looked at his concerned face, I touched his cheek softly,' Thank you for helping me!' I batted my eyes.
He held my hand on his cheek when I withdrew ,"Don't…I like it when you touch me gently! " his pupils dilated.
'No…No..No…Don't get carried away by this! 'I took my hands off his face and looked at the front.
'I think we're here!' I avoided eye contact, and got out of the car. 'Wow…Such a nice home !' I admired the sight.
"Thank you! Let's…" he showed me the way and we stepped inside his place.
My jaw dropped at the view, by the elegance of his double height living room with enormous windows with L shaped sofas leading to a kitchen with black marble island with a dining space on the other side.
'Would you like to watch Tv ?' he asked, plopping on the sofa.
"Your wish! " I sat next to him.
'What do you want?' He showed the menu in his phone for ordering.
I scrolled through the menu and said, "Cantonese chicken soup and chow mein!"
'Okay! I'll have rice and char siu. "
He ordered our food and looked at me ,'What do we do until the food arrives?'
"Let's watch something on the Tv!"
'Okay!' He switched on the Tv and played a movie.
After sometime, the doorbell rang and our food was delivered. We paused the movie to eat our delicacies.
He arranged the food on the dining table and I settled on the seat opposite him, the aroma from the plate, triggered my senses ,letting my stomach growl.
'What's that sound? Is that you ? 'he chortled.
I pouted my lips in embarrassment.
'Oh ... .Sorry babe…You must be hungry, dig in!'
"Tch!" I grabbed the chopsticks and took a mouthful from the chowmein.
"Hey! The soup? " he pointed at the bowl.
"I forgot!" I took the bowl and slurped from it.
'Whoa! I never knew you eat like this!'
"Stop talking and eat!" I slurped again.
'You're noisy!' he chuckled and ate his dish, 'But,You are cute! ' he smiled while chewing.
"Ah! So Cheesy…." I groaned at his comment.
' Don't you like the cheesy ones?'
'Really? Let me eat in peace, please!' I rolled my eyes.
"Okay! Carry on! " He didn't talk until we finish.
We washed our plates and settled on the couch to continue the movie.
"Is it weird if I tell, that we are a thing? "he turned to me, in a sunken voice.
'Are you trying to seduce me?' I poked his cheek.
"Pfff….doesn't work on you! " he pursed lips, his eyes never blinked.
'Hm.. 'I cleared my throat, averting his gaze.
He suddenly kissed my cheek.
I froze ,clearly out of ideas to escape this situation.
"Thank you!"
I looked at him.
He continued, "For staying with me tonight ", he grinned happily and started watching the movie as if nothing happened.
I gaped at him, totally puzzled by his behavior.
"Come on, I'm not a gentleman, If I take advantage of you, right? " He talked without looking at me.
"Just relax and watch the movie! " he smiled, his eyes shifting to me.
'Wow…Thank you, Kai !' We watched the film and talked the whole night, without realizing we slept together on the couch.
