Lucy, as customary, greeted the Goddess first, followed by Aether. Meanwhile, Lucian maintained his silent vigil from his throne, observing everyone present.
However, before Selena could initiate conversation, he broke the silence with somber news, "You might not have heard, but my brother's wife passed away recently. A seemingly natural cause."
Upon hearing this, Lucy glanced at him, her gesture conveying sympathy, "I'm truly sorry for your loss."
Aether, uncertain of what to say, remained silent, acknowledging the emotional weight of the moment.
His disclosure, shared not just for utility but out of a need to confide in someone he trusted and valued, directed mostly at Lucy, less so at Aether.
