"Look at that!" The girl pointed to him with a gleeful smile, her smile wide with joy.
Kim Seo came over to her side, looking to where she was pointing, a small smirk landed on his lips. "I didn't think he had the balls to come." The boy shrugged, "I guess he can still surprise me."
The boy turned over to his side, looking at the girl who had a small child on her lap. The girl gave him a quick glance, sighing loudly. "I do not care."
"Come on, he took care of Marie!" The girl with spiky blue hair defended.
Vinh gave a harsh look towards both Loire and the girl in her lap. Kim Seo came over to her side, his hand reached out for the child to grab. Vinh allowed him to take Marie in his hands, making her laugh as he did so.
Vinh stood up, walking over to where Loire was pointing. A small smile stretched her face when catching a glimpse of the short boy. Along with the portrait of her and all her siblings.
"Aww- she smiled~"
"Shut it." Vinh dropped the smile, pushing past Loire where Kim Seo was coming over. He stopped beside her, using one of his hands to guide her back to where she once stood.
Loire giggled at the two, she watched as the boy made all three of them sit at the ledge where they were seeing the other boy. Vinh motioned to the older boy to hand her Marie, he did so, patting her head with a chuckle.
"Cameron!" Marie pointed, a smile on her face when seeing the boy. Vinh nodded, fixing what Kim Seo did to her hair with a few pats. She smoothed the hair, watching the child smile gleefully at the boy below.
"He looks healthy." Vinh hummed out.
"He looks better in general," the older boy observed.
Loire nudged him, hissing with a warning. "He always looked great! You guys are just jealous!"
"ME?" Kim Seo put his hand dramatically to his chest. "Jealous of him? Please-"
Vinh glanced over while Marie lowered her back into her. She hid a smile that was on her face as Kim Seo continued to defend himself.
"Yes you are! I mean he is so kind, so generous-"
"Are we still talking about Cameron here?"
Loire kicked at him, earning a laugh from the boy who dodged just in time. "Whatever. I still love him!"
"Love him, love him?" Kim Seo asked before moving back into his position.
"Yess!" She turned her eyes over to him, a smirk on her lips. "Just like you~"
Kim Seo rolled his eyes, ignoring the burning in his cheeks. "Yeah right. How can I love a stubborn, annoying, coward like Cam cam?"
Loire lifted a brow, turning back to gaze at the boy below, her eyes sometimes catching the cards near her photo. That left the tall boy to turn his eyes and attention over to Vinh, the girl was ignoring him again.
She noticed his eyes on her, letting out an annoyed sigh. "What?"
"You're happy."
She gave him an eye, which was followed by a sarcastic scowl. He noticed a small smile peek from her lips, his own turning up at the reaction. Marie made a noise, turning up to look at Vinh.
The girl laughed, kissing her nose that made the child squeal with happiness.
"The angel is happy to."
Vinh didn't turn to him, but her own smile was clear at the look of the girl. It was true, she was happy now. Very happy with her in her arms. "She is."
Kim Seo watched the two for a second, his eyes turning back to Cameron, then to his own picture. The emptiness hit something in his heart that caused a spike of pain to run up his throat. He shouldn't be surprised. He wasn't.
His parents did not care. No one did.
His eyes then caught Cameron, the boy who was sitting in front of his image, his body hung strong for the minutes that passed of him alone in front of his portrait. The pain and emptiness in the older boy's heart suddenly fluttered away, a genuine smile creased his face that made his eyebrows drop.
It was suddenly relaxing, the boy sitting in front of him now.
Kim Seo stood in front of him, casting a shadow above him that caused his eyes to look over. It was like they were looking at each other, an empty feeling passed though the two since Cameron seemed to be looking right through him. Kim Seo wanted him to continue looking at him, he didn't want him to look away..
"I'm sorry.." He spoke, his voice sounded far, his eyes trying to catch the light that Kim Seo wanted him to see. He wanted him to see him, to feel him standing above him.
It seemed to work, Cameron's eyes found its way back to the older boy, a softness followed his vision.
"It wasn't your fault.. it never was…"
His breathing hitched, the breathless feeling in his chest lifted and washed away. His eyes started to prickle at the feeling, his body slightly trembled. He slowed to sit in front of Cameron, the boy's eyes following him the whole way. It was like he was watching him, a look of acceptance washed over his features.
"Th.. thank you." His eyes closed, a smile covered his face. "Thank you for keeping your promise."
Kim Seo allowed the truthful tears to come from his own eyes, the smirk turning into a soft grin. "You're welcome."
"Kim Seo!" Loire called out from behind him, Kim Seo turned to them, seeing how the group were waiting for him. Something pulled at him, he didn't want to leave Cameron, but he didn't want to leave them.
He took one last look at Cameron, the boy was now standing, his face looking strong and pleased as he took in all of their pictures with a sad smile. Kim Seo shook his head, he let himself feel the stupidity of wanting to stay.
Cameron didn't need him right now.
"Come on!" Vinh turned, holding Marie's hand to continue walking away. Marie was the one who stopped, watching Kim Seo turn to walk over to them.
She reached her hand out for the boy to grab, he did so, giving a thankful smile that was scoffed away by Vinh. Loire came to the tall girl's side, holding her hand as they walked away.
Kim Seo gave one last look behind him, he watched the back of Cameron disappear just as they did.
The End…
