Kaito Chapter 69

Hearing this, Kakashi opened his mouth to say something but Kaito cut him off abruptly, "Leave that. There's something else I need to tell you," he said urgently.

Kakashi gave a small nod and Kaito continued with equal urgency, "I don't know how to say this...but I think I know who the masked man is."

Kakashi's eyes widened in surprise, and he focused all of his attention on Kaito. With a serious look in his eyes, Kaito met Kakashi's gaze and uttered the words that would change everything, "i think,…. It's Obito."

….

As Kaito's words rang out, Kakashi felt as if time had stopped. He could feel the blood draining from his face and his heart racing in his chest. "I think... it's Obito," Kaito had said, and Kakashi's eyes widened even further in disbelief.

Kakashi's mind spun, the words repeating over and over again like a broken record. "No, it can't be," he thought desperately. Obito was supposed to be dead, and even if he was somehow alive, why would he attack their sensei and his wife? And control the Nine-Tailed Fox to attack the village?

Kaito could see the shock on Kakashi's face and tried calling out to him, "Hey Kakashi!" But it seemed like Kakashi had gone into a state of shock or denial and didn't respond. Trying to snap him out of it, Kaito shook him but it was no use.

"Damm," Kaito muttered under his breath. "I need him to hear me out fully." Charging some lightning chakra in his hand, Kaito touched Kakashi with it, hoping the shock would bring him back to reality. The electricity coursed through Kakashi's body, jolting him out of his shocked state.

As Kakashi's shock dissipated, he was jolted back to reality and pulled out of his dazed state. "W-what?"

he stuttered, trying to process everything that had just been said.

Noticing that Kakashi was no longer lost in his thoughts, Kaito spoke up. "Hey hey, let me explain fully before you come to your own conclusion," he said, waving his hands in front of Kakashi's face to regain his attention.

Kakashi nodded, eager to hear Kaito's explanation and calm himself down from the initial shock.

Seeing this, Kaito continued, "Like I was saying, I think it might be Obito." He held up a hand to pause any objections and explained, "I know I know, Obito sacrificed himself to save you during your mission to blow up Tenchi Bridge."

"But there are reasons why I suspect the masked man is Obito." Kaito added. "You know how my sensing ability works, right? It basically allows me to see chakra, similar to the Byakugan."

Seeing Kakashi nod in understanding, Kaito continued his explanation. "Well, everyone has their own unique chakra signature, and the masked man is no different. But his sharingan has the same chakra signature as the one obito gave you."

A sudden realization dawned upon Kakashi, causing his eyes to widen in shock. He instinctively reached up and touched his left eye, "T-that means..." he began, but was cut off by Kaito's saying. "Hai, either someone else has his other eye or... it's Obito," Kaito said with a heavy sigh.

Kaito paused for a moment, gathering his thoughts before continuing. "Kakashi, if someone else has Obito's Sharingan, they won't be able to use it to its full potential unless they are from the Uchiha clan. You know how much chakra the Sharingan requires, and I also noticed that the masked man's eye is on his left, opposite of yours."

Kakashi's mind raced with possibilities, but deep down he knew that Kaito was right. He didn't want to admit it, but everything Kaito was saying made sense.

As Kaito noticed Kakashi slipping into a dazed state, he sighed and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Kakashi, I don't know if it is Obito or someone else behind that mask. But 100 percent I'm sure that the masked man possesses Obito's Sharingan," he explained calmly while running a hand through his hair."I really hope it's not him. mom and dad

care about him so much."

Kaito then met Kakashi's gaze and added, "But regardless of who he is, i need to be ready for when he comes after Naruto and mom. i need your help."

Kakashi nodded slowly, still reeling from the information he had just learned. But he knew that Kaito was right -He couldn't deny that the masked man would surely come after his sensei family.

Kakashi looked intently at Kaito and asked, "Have you told the Hokage yet?"

Kaito shook his head in response and replied, "No, I won't tell the Hokage, and neither should you. I don't trust him or any of the higher-ups."

Kakashi nodded but pressed on with a question, "Why not?" Kaito let out a heavy sigh before explaining, "think about it kakashi, How many people do you think know about mom being the previous jinchuriki, and who do you think leaked that information to the villagers? I know you have you know as well. The Third Hokage also knows who spread the rumors, but he hasn't taken any action against Danzo. And let's not forget, Danzo was also involved in Hotaru's attempted kidnapping. if it had been Any other person other than danzo they would have faced consequences for their actions."

After a brief pause, Kaito added with frustration evident in his tone, "And if this were to get out, it could further strain the village's already tense relationship with the Uchiha clan." Kaito then thought bitterly to himself, "I could have gotten rid of Danzo myself if it wasn't for that old monkey." Kakashi nodded in agreement with Kaito's reasoning, as he too had lost some trust in the Hokage after the incident involving Danzo.

Kaito hesitantly added, "Mom doesn't know this either. You're the only person I've told all of this to." Kakashi let out a heavy sigh and nodded, his mind racing with thoughts. He ran a hand through his hair in frustration. Kaito could see the weight of the situation settling on Kakashi's shoulders.

Feeling guilty for unloading everything on Kakashi, Kaito said, "I'm sorry for dumping all of this on you, Kakashi."

Kakashi shook his head and replied, "No, it's okay. I have a lot to think about now." He turned to leave, needing time to process everything. "I'll see you later."

Before he could leave, Kaito called after him, "Kakashi, please don't go looking for him right now. Both of us are not strong enough to face him yet."

Kakashi paused and nodded, knowing that Kaito was right. With a body flicker, he disappeared from sight, leaving Kaito alone with his thoughts.

Kaito stood there, his mind racing with various scenarios and possibilities. "I hope this helps," he thought to himself, his gaze fixated on the spot where Kakashi had stood moments ago. "I need Kakashi to be stronger than in canon timeline," he reminded himself, a slight sense of fear creeping into his heart. "But I really hope this doesn't backfire later."

With a sigh, Kaito left the training ground and began making his way back home. The sky had turned dark and the moon had risen, casting a soft glow over the village.

Reaching his house, Kaito took off his sandals and slid the front door open, calling out to his mother. "Mom, I'm home," he announced, feeling a mix of exhaustion and relief wash over him.

Kushina peaked her head out from the kitchen with a warm smile on her face. "Welcome back, honey," she greeted him, before a blond bundle of energy who came running out from behind her. "Big brother!" Naruto squealed happily as he threw himself into Kaito's arms for a hug.

Kaito smiled and patted Naruto's head affectionately. "Good to see you too, Naruto," he said with genuine fondness in his voice.

Kushina watched the two interact with a smile before reminding Kaito that dinner would be ready soon. "Go take a bath, honey," she instructed him with a loving smile. "I'll have dinner ready for you when you're done." Kaito nodded and headed to the bathroom.
