Chapter 156 - 155. Cores.

Before running off to mess with gods, I had a few loose ends to tie up.

A small marble-sized piece of gold appeared in my palm—Life Gold, something I had picked up from the Glazed Tile Clan. This material had several unique properties: it could extend lifespan, boost cultivation, or…

I pressed it against my forehead. The moment it touched my skin, it sank inward, sending a searing pain through my mind as my spirit sea forcibly expanded. Known by many names—spirit sea, mind palace, mental plane—this space within me was now undergoing a drastic transformation.

The Life Gold began spinning violently, sending ripples of golden energy throughout my being. As if answering its call, another artifact within me responded—the Fountain of Youth. But it didn't stop there. A second force stirred—the Philosopher's Stone.

The golden liquid within my spirit sea, originally just a small cup's worth, surged and expanded, rapidly condensing into a golden core. Then, another flash of power erupted from within as my Pagoda and the Ancient Stone Talisman activated in unison, nurturing my newly formed spirit sea.

It felt like a bomb detonating inside my mind, flooding me with immense energy. My spiritual prowess skyrocketed, life force surged, and my entire being resonated with newfound power.

Then came the roars.

Four distinct presences erupted within me—

The Dark Devilgod Tiger.

The Golden Sacred Dragon.

The Phoenix.

The Black Turtle.

They answered the call, their energies swirling and clashing before settling into a delicate harmony. The dragon and tiger carried more raw power, but the phoenix and turtle balanced them, creating an intricate cycle of mutually restraining forces. Within my heart, a new Great Beast Core took shape, first forming as gas, then liquid, and finally solidifying into a dense, pulsating sphere.

Meanwhile, deep within my dantian, something else stirred.

Elements gathered—fire, lightning, ice, poison, darkness, evil, light, time, space… The very essence of my abilities coalesced, weaving together to form a shimmering Elemental Core, its colors shifting unpredictably.

A sudden click.

Rank 94.

Rank 95.

Then it stopped.

But the transformation hadn't finished. My body now housed three cores—each one representing a fundamental aspect of power.

In my mind, a golden Life Gold Core thrummed with pure vitality and boundless spiritual strength.

In my heart, the Great Beast Core pulsed with the combined might of legendary creatures.

In my dantian, the ever-shifting Elemental Core radiated raw, untamed energy.

My mental prowess had sharpened to terrifying heights. My physical strength and regeneration had skyrocketed. My energy reserves and recovery were now monstrous.

After a few hours, a low hum reverberated through my body as everything settled into place.

I exhaled, feeling the power coursing through me.

With the Life Gold Core my Haki had received a tremendous boost, my regeneration even without the Fountain of Youth would allow me to recover lost limbs, destroyed organs and from poisons, I could also naturally live for centuries or longer.

The Great Beast Core enhanced my physical strength so that my base physical power now rivaled my Heavenly Restriction almost doubling my physical prowess and also increasing my natural healing speed, and immunities.

The Elemental Core doubles my cultivation and Qi and Qi recovery as well as my control over my elements, working similar to a energy generator.

These also had the effect of strenghtening my magic as it was also a fundamental part of me.

An all around boost to my foundation basically.

Freya sat upon her grand throne in the Tower of Babel, gazing out over Orario with a serene yet expectant expression. It had been about an hour since he vanished, slipping from her sight like a fleeting dream.

The boy with the radiant soul…

From the moment she first saw him, he had consumed her thoughts. Unlike any mortal she had encountered before, his soul shone—a beacon of power, untamed yet refined, like a masterpiece in the making.

And now…

Something shifted.

Freya's fingers tightened around her goblet. Her breath caught.

Then it hit her.

A tidal wave of brilliance crashed into her senses, so intense that it sent a shudder through her very being.

The goblet slipped from her grasp, shattering on the marble floor. She didn't even notice.

If before, his soul had been like a lighthouse, standing resolute in the endless sea of lesser souls, now…

It was a sun.

A vast, overwhelming presence, burning with an intensity that dwarfed everything else around it. Layers upon layers of power had fused together, shifting, evolving—he was no longer simply strong, he was becoming something beyond mortal comprehension.

And he was no longer alone.

Freya's silver eyes widened as she saw them—other souls, orbiting around him like celestial bodies drawn into his gravitational pull. Each one unique, formidable, and bound to him in ways she couldn't yet fathom.

One soul was cold, deep as the void, yet carried an undercurrent of serene elegance.

Another burned, a wild and untamed inferno, refusing to be extinguished.

One pulsed with a dark, ethereal mystery, like the quiet promise of destruction.

Another hummed with an intoxicating deadliness, a silent yet lethal force.

Each of them was exceptional, far above the average adventurer. Yet what truly fascinated her was that despite their strength, they revolved around him.

Not just allies.

Not just companions.

Something more.

Freya exhaled slowly, placing a hand over her chest as a rush of anticipation coiled within her like a tightly wound spring.

She had already been captivated by him before, but now?

Now, she was utterly spellbound.

Her lips curled into a slow, knowing smile.

She needed to see him. Now.

As she gazed down at him from her perch atop the Tower of Babel, something unexpected happened.

His head turned.

Steel-blue eyes, sharp and piercing, locked onto her with unerring precision—as if he had felt her gaze, as if he had known she was watching all along.

A thrill shot through her.

Then, in the blink of an eye—he vanished.

Before she could even process it he was suddenly there—right in front of her.

Outside the Tower.

Standing in midair.

Close. Too close.

Freya's breath caught in her throat.

His presence crashed into her like a tidal wave, his soul wrapping around her entire being—overwhelming, all-consuming. She had never felt anything like it before. It wasn't just power. It was him.

A violent shudder wracked her body, her knees threatening to buckle as something deep, primal, and insatiable ignited within her.

A choked moan escaped her lips, raw and utterly debauched, as heat pooled between her legs, betraying just how thoroughly he had ruined her with nothing but his mere presence.
