Chapter 142 - 142. Testing.

I barely had any time to explore my new pagoda before the girls took over completely.

Hermione had gone absolutely wild over the alchemy tools, her eyes alight with the possibilities of top-tier potion crafting. Fleur, practically starry-eyed, was already inspecting the carving tools, imagining the delicate runes she could etch for enchanting. Even Winky, my adorable little house-elf, was darting around the kitchen, testing the new cookware with boundless excitement, her small hands a blur as she tried out the gleaming new utensils.

Meanwhile, Serenity, Rachel, Yue, Zhu Zhuqing, and Xiao Wu had all dived straight into the Ascension Platform, eager to test their skills against artificial spirit beasts. Luna, however, had no such ambitions—she simply curled up in my lap, humming softly as I idly ran my fingers through her pale blonde hair, her warmth pressing into me like a content cat.

While they indulged in their interests, I focused on feeding the pagoda. My Gate of Babylon churned out materials—iron, copper, steel, tin, gold, silver, ruby, sapphire, emerald, diamond, jade… anything I had in stock. I made a mental note to check with Ning Fengzhi to see if I could source some rarer metals.

The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well had already given me some valuable resources—Cold Steel, Cold Jade, Fire Iron, Ice Crystal, Fire Crystal—but I was still missing a few key materials.

To my surprise, the pagoda's capabilities extended beyond simple metals. It could also replicate organic materials—leather, dragon hide, Acromantula silk, unicorn hair, even rare magical creature parts. Watching a piece of dragon hide slowly materialize from thin air was nothing short of mesmerizing.

Then, I noticed something even more intriguing—the pagoda was evolving. The moment I introduced magical ingredients, I felt a shift. The structure pulsed, and suddenly, it started drawing on my magic power, integrating the new materials into its internal processes.

Curious, I reached into my personal potion ingredient stocks, pulling out rare and even extinct materials. Jars and bottles appeared inside the pagoda, steadily filling with dragon blood, beetles, eye of newt, unicorn horn dust, bubotuber pus, essence of dittany, mandrake leaves… The rate at which they filled varied—mundane ingredients replenished quickly, but the dragon blood rose slowly, deliberately, like an expensive wine being carefully poured into a glass.

Hermione, who had been watching the entire process with wide, gleaming eyes, suddenly let out an excited squeal.

"Do you realize how much money this will save us on potion ingredients?! We could conduct so many experiments, refine brewing techniques, maybe even revolutionize the entire field of potioneering!"

Her mad scientist mode fully activated as she grabbed ingredients, filled a cauldron with water, and immediately began brewing.

I chuckled as I turned back to Luna, who was still curled up in my lap, watching the others work with dreamy amusement.

"So, how have you been, Luna?" I asked, pulling out more materials for the pagoda.

"Good," she murmured, leaning into me. "I've enjoyed learning about spirit beasts." Though she couldn't cultivate, she still loved studying new creatures from different worlds.

We hadn't just been staying here either. We frequently returned to the Harry Potter world—not just to visit her father, but also Hermione's and Fleur's families.

Xenophilius Lovegood was… an odd man, though his heart was in the right place. He'd never been quite the same after his wife's death, but his old friends claimed he was never all there to begin with.

I got along well with Fleur's family too. Even her father, Jean, who had once regarded me with suspicion, had eventually warmed up to me over the years.

Hermione's family, however, was a bit more difficult. They were traditional, conservative, and didn't exactly understand the whole multiple girlfriends thing. It had led to some tense conversations, but Hermione had stood her ground.

---

Despite everything, I had yet to truly fight with any of the girls. We had proper dates, discussed things like adults, and shared our hobbies. The girls had become like sisters and best friends, supporting one another as much as they did me. I made sure not to neglect anyone, always balancing my time.

We still took time to relax, go on dates, indulge in some sexy fun, cuddle and read, and celebrate holidays together.

Life wasn't about rushing to the finish line—it was about enjoying the journey. There were frustrating days, sure—a failed enchantment here, a botched breakthrough in cultivation there, pranks gone too far, the occasional mood swings from period hormones—but that was just life.

And besides, we literally had all the time in the world.

With the number of 'injections' I gave Hermione and Luna, I doubted they could even die after a thousand years. My blessing linked their lives to mine, which meant pretty much everyone in the harem was now functionally immortal.

---

"That's good," I murmured, brushing a stray lock of Luna's hair behind her ear. "I'll see if I can find more books on Spirit Beasts for you. Maybe we'll attend a more advanced academy, or I could head to Slaughter City…" I trailed off, rubbing the back of my neck. "Haven't really thought that far ahead yet."

Luna giggled, her breath tickling my neck as she tilted her head up. "That's just wrackspurts messing with your mind," she teased, her fingers tracing lazy circles against my chest. "I know a good way to get rid of them… and you can check me for muffkiffles while we do."

I raised an eyebrow just as she grabbed my hand and slid it under her skirt.

"Oh," I hummed, my fingers brushing soft, warm skin. "I must have a serious infection of wrackspurts."

Luna's expression turned serious, her usually dreamy eyes filled with something… else.

"Yes," she murmured, her voice lower now. "You need emergency treatment."

Then, with a slow, deliberate movement, she shifted, her legs straddling my lap, her weight pressing into me as she looked down with a mischievous smirk.
