Chapter 115 - 115. Rings.

Sitting down on the ground, I summoned my Hate Ground No Handle Spirit. Since leaving the Douluo Dalu world, aside from using it for smithing, I hadn't done much else with it.

Today, however, I planned to generate a spirit ring. The laws of the Douluo Dalu world didn't apply here, nor did I need to kill a spirit beast to form a spirit ring.

Ah Yin also wouldn't face any tribulation even after becoming a 100,000-year-old spirit beast. She could easily cultivate to 1,000,000 years and directly become a Blue Silver God.

The miniature martial spirit in my palm flashed, and information flowed into my mind—various abilities that I could unlock when forming my spirit rings. There were options like gigantification, gravity control, counter abilities, and more.

Currently, I was only rank 20, having been too busy with other things to focus on cultivation.

"Let's see… what do I want for my first ring?" I browsed through the hundreds of options before finding the perfect one.

Avatar – Create another body to fight alongside you. The Avatar will have only 10% of the original's power, which increases with additional spirit rings. Initially, only a single Avatar can be created, but more can be summoned as spirit rings are added.

"Yep, that's the one." I selected it without hesitation.

A surge of energy flowed from my body into my martial spirit.

Behind me, a silver spirit ring began forming, its color matching the metallic sheen of my martial spirit and weapons.

As soon as it fully materialized and clicked into place, knowledge of my new ability filled my mind. At the same time, a powerful surge spread through my body—my physical strength doubled.

While there were no outward changes, I could feel the difference. Initially, my base physical strength had been around 50 tons, and with training, it had increased. Now, with the enhancement from the spirit ring, my strength had jumped to around 120 tons—though the boost only applied when my armor was equipped.

"Now for the second ring." I turned my attention back to the list of potential spirit skills, quickly spotting my next choice.

Gravity – Increase or decrease gravity around yourself or others by 10×. This effect scales by 10× with each additional spirit ring.

An incredibly versatile ability, useful for both combat and training.

Soon, my second spirit ring formed, another silver band matching the first.

Now, I could summon two Avatars, each at 20% of my power, and I could manipulate gravity up to 20× its normal level. On top of that, my strength had increased fourfold with my second spirit ring.

Standing up, I activated my first spirit ring. My armor materialized over my body, and I immediately felt my consciousness split as two identical copies of myself appeared beside me.

It was an odd sensation—like I was standing in three places at once. Yet, controlling them felt as natural as breathing.

Some quick testing revealed their limits. My Avatars couldn't summon their own Avatars. They could use all of my physical abilities, including my Logia powers, but they lacked access to my Peerage Pieces, Fountain of Youth, Ancient Stone Talisman, and Inner World.

However, we shared vision, and I could open a Gate of Babylon through them. They also possessed my Heavenly Restriction, meaning their raw physical power was immense.

This was perfect.

Dismissing my Avatars, I felt the energy I had expended return to my body. Sitting back down, I summoned my next target for testing.

My Dark Devilgod Tiger Spirit.

As I activated Spirit Possession, my body bulked up, wings sprouted from my back, and a scorpion-like tail extended behind me. I felt my teeth elongate into fangs, while my hands grew sharp claws.

I imagined this was what a werewolf might feel like—if they also had wings, a scorpion tail, and tiger-like features.

"Alright, let's see what you've got for me, evil kitty."

My mind entered the technique space, and several differently colored abilities appeared before me—Lightning, Poison, Time, Space, Evil, Wind, and more.

The spirit also had an innate ability: Devour. However, this version of Devour was limited—it only worked on dead enemies, allowing me to absorb their energy to improve my cultivation, soul, or elemental affinities. It wasn't as powerful as some of the Devour abilities I had encountered before.

"Is there an upgraded version of Devour? This one seems way too weak."

As soon as I had the thought, a gray spirit ring appeared in front of me.

Assimilate – Completely devour your target, allowing you to gain 100% of their abilities, memories, and even the ability to transform into them. The target must be alive or have died within 24 hours, and a complete corpse is required for full assimilation. Assimilation can fail if the target is stronger.

"Yep, that's the one."

I grabbed the gray spirit ring, noticing faint hints of black swirling within it, and started absorbing it.

Within minutes, the gray ring fully formed. My previous Devour ability merged with it, evolving into something far more potent.

I still had room for one more spirit ring.

Scrolling through the available options, I eventually found something that caught my eye.

Life and Death Arena – The user and the enemy are dragged into an isolated space, where only one of them can leave alive. The enemy is reduced to a child (This effect can be blocked if the enemy has stronger spiritual power than the user, in which case both parties will become children instead). Can only be used once per year, but the number of uses increases with additional spirit rings.

Now that was a nasty trump card.

I'll take it.

A second gray spirit ring materialized behind me.

With that both of my spirits now had their rings. Additionally spirit rings on my tiger spirit do not influence my strength increase through the hate ground no handle spirit or the effects of its spirit rings and the same in return.

I may have four spirit rings but each spirit only considered the spirit rings on that martial spirit. I could only make two avatars with 20% of my power still.
