"Guest, how long has it been since you calmed yourself to truly savor the deliciousness of food?" the chef asked him, as he began to take off the uniform he was wearing.
"What's that got to do with you?" Tsukada grew even more impatient.
The chef did not answer him, just smiled.
Then, ignoring everyone else, he walked into a slightly ajar door, likely leading to the staff rest area. The kitchen helpers and waitstaff followed suit, leaving Tsukada alone in the restaurant.
"What a bunch of idiots."
Tsukada didn't want to bother with them anymore and continued eating his noodles.
Not wanting to waste time, he usually ate quickly, and this time was no exception.
By the time he had finished his meal, he saw the chef, flanked by a group of apprentices, emerge from behind the ajar door.
He looked different from before.
