Cheek Stroke.
A traditional ghost story from the southern part of Yamanashi Prefecture.
It is said to appear on a dim mountain valley path at night, and anyone who passes by will have their cheeks caressed by it.
"A pale hand stretches out from the darkness, gently caressing the face, and the feeling on the cheek is like being brushed by dew-soaked withered ears of grain."
Additionally, among the ghost stories that Kamiya had researched, there was also a youkai called "Thin Long Hands," which seemed to be of the same type as "Cheek Stroke."
The ghost story of "Thin Long Hands" goes that someone once saw several vine-like slender ghostly hands reaching out from the gaps of room partitions in an inner parlor, beckoning people.
Moreover, there exists a similar ghost story in modern urban legends, such as the "Hands of Hokkaido" that appear in the deep forests of Hokkaido.
