Impatient to deliver the best scare possible to his guests, Kamiya stopped communicating with his colleagues through the walkie-talkie, grabbed his chainsaw, and pushed open the hidden door.
Outside, at the entrance of the third-floor corridor, all was eerily still with no one in sight.
Only the cold light from the chandeliers flickered chaotically.
Kamiya looked back at the position where the corner camera was located.
It was deserted and normal, not obstructed by any foreign object.
Beep beep—
The walkie-talkie sounded again, "Kamiya, in the vicinity of the third-floor corridor, three other cameras have lost their feeds as well. We are not sure where that visitor has gone. Wait a moment, we will immediately reach out to other colleagues..."
Rustle—
The voice from the walkie-talkie didn't finish.
In the midst of talking, it went silent, replaced by the "rustling" noise of static.
"What's going on?" muttered Kamiya inwardly.
