This strange lonely grave was piled with yellow clay.
The soil seemed freshly turned, suggesting it had not been piled up for long, at most a month or two.
Kamiyagawa squatted down to take a closer look at the solitary grave.
Similar to some of the mounds in the pet cemetery, this one also bore marks of being dug up by wild animal claws.
On the side of the mound, a large hole had been dug.
Shining the flashlight into it revealed an overturned wooden box, with quite a lot of grayish-white powder scattered around.
"An urn?" Kamiya deduced without much emotion.
Upon closer inspection, he noticed a small black-and-white oval photo attached to the urn, depicting a bespectacled man in his 70s.
There were also characters visible—[Nakao]
"So this is the grave of an old man surnamed Nakao. Strange, why would he be buried alone on the edge of a pet cemetery? What does 'guilty' on the gravestone refer to?"
Kamiya stood up with a sense of perplexity.
