The disaster in Fuso could very well have been the key to opening the fissure connecting to the Netherworld on the Fuso tree. After Nagatomo and the others defeated the disaster, that fissure vanished.
The towering Fuso tree still stood, although its growth had stopped. But its intricately interwoven roots and trunk occupied the entire expanse of the village, with its dense canopy blocking out the sun.
And since the Fuso tree was still there, could the fissure connecting it to the Netherworld possibly open again?
