Since the Dream Man incident occurred, the number of exorcists directly involved in dealing with the Dream Man visitations throughout the Kanto region in the special operations team led by Kyojin Shrine exceeded two hundred.
Among them, over forty were exorcists, both official and civilian, who were urgently summoned from all over the country and possessed the ability to exterminate creatures from strange tales of dreams.
These forty-plus individuals, including Kamiyagawa, formed into 42 action teams and were active throughout the Kanto region.
The rest were organized into numerous investigation teams.
Working in coordination with these main teams with the ability to exterminate, they carried out more detailed follow-up information gathering and investigations of the incidents.
But as more and more macro-dreams were connected by the Dream Man,
many in these 42 main teams started to feel overwhelmed.
Kamiya was no exception.
