A gasp escaped me, the shock of the revelation adding another layer of agony to the already dire situation. "What do they want?" I questioned, a mixture of fear and anger coursing through me.
"The rogues demand territory, freedom to roam without interference. They threaten harm to Justin and Laurie if we don't comply," the guard explained, his voice strained.
Killian's jaw clenched, a fierce determination replacing the shock on his face. "We won't bow to their threats. We need a plan to rescue my mom and ensure the safety of our pack."
"I can't believe all this," I said, closing my face with my hands. My son was battling for his life.
How dared this rogues do this to my son? And how dared them kidnap mummy Laurie?
