Catherine's POV
As I turned to leave, Elena's plea for water echoed in the dimly lit room. A wicked smile crept across my face as I reveled in her desperation. "Oh dear Elena, there is no drop of water here," I taunted, relishing the power I held over her. "If you are really thirsty, you can slit your wrist and drink your blood."
Elena's feeble attempt to appeal to my humanity only fueled my amusement. "I'm really in need of your help, Auntie Catherine. If you want to kill me, then do so but don't leave me thirsty," she pleaded.
A sinister chuckle escaped my lips. "Fine, I will give you water, if you insist. I see how bold you have become," I mocked, knowing that beneath her facade of bravery, fear was beginning to take hold.
I approached the table, intentionally letting the keys dangle from my pocket, a subtle display of my control. As I poured water into Elena's parched mouth, I couldn't help but revel in the power dynamics at play.
