I took a deep breath, gathering the courage to share the agonizing truth with Grandma. "Grandma, Elena... she's with Alpha Killian now. She's found solace and safety with him, and... and he's taken in Justin as his own."
The weight of those words hung heavy in the air, a pang of sorrow searing through me as I spoke. "It's as if my failures pushed her into his arms."
