After a silent moment between the two of them, Lu Jingyan was about to hang up when Sheng Xian stopped her, "Lu Jingyan."
"Hmm?"
"Who were you planning to call?"
When Sheng Xian called her name, his tone was a bit serious, and Lu Jingyan thought he had something important to say.
Who knew that after being fully attentive, all she would await was such an insignificant question.
And it had to be the question she least wanted to hear.
She had lied casually, and yet he took it seriously.

If she had known he would delve so deep, she would have lied about having work with a colleague from the beginning.
