When she woke up, it was already three in the afternoon.
Lu Jingyan had slept exceptionally well; it was the best quality sleep she had had in years.
The heavy curtains blocked out all light, making no difference between day and night. Lu Jingyan kicked her legs and stretched lazily under the blanket, contemplating whether to sleep a little longer when her phone, hidden under the pillow, rang.
The call was from Song Xian.
Lu Jingyan yawned as she answered.
"Miss Lu, you finally picked up. If I couldn't get through this time, I was considering storming over to your place."
Lu Jingyan wiped away the tears that had spilled from her eyes, "Is something wrong?"
"Is something wrong?" Song Xian exploded, "Miss Lu, what do you think? Who was it that frenziedly asked me to go shopping with her this weekend just a few days ago? Who was it that messaged me every five minutes the other day, pestering me about what to eat for lunch during our shopping trip?"
