Lu Jingyan let out a sigh of relief in secret, as Sheng Xian didn't take her money. Her hand, awkwardly extended for a while, tangled with indecision. She silently withdrew it, then stuffed the money back into her bag.
There was no music playing in the car, and the silence was almost excessive.
Sheng Xian was staring straight ahead as if she didn't exist, showing no intention at all of starting a conversation.
Lu Jingyan hadn't expected to run into him here, but not talking after doing so would be really weird.
She wasn't looking for him, but had stumbled into his car by accident. After thinking it over for a while, Lu Jingyan felt that since she had initiated the situation, she should be the one to break the silence, "I didn't expect to bump into you here."
Sheng Xian didn't respond.
