"I'll be fine after a few days of rest," Tang Yuran blinked at him and replied, feigning nonchalance.
"Sorry..." Gu Yu's hand, which lay on the blanket, moved slightly as he wanted to reach out and hold her, but he hesitated in the end.
"Sorry for what?"
"For not protecting you well enough." A faint sadness tinged Gu Yu's dark, deep-set eyes.
"It's just a minor injury, no big deal." Tang Yuran beamed at Gu Yu, "The doctor who stitched me up yesterday said he borrowed a special needle from the ophthalmology department, promising there won't be any scar after the wound heals."

Silence fell upon the hospital room once again.
