At dawn, Yun Chi awoke and opened his eyes to find Hua Yan sleeping quietly in his embrace.
He watched her for a while and then moved his arm, planning to get up without disturbing her. Usually, Hua Yan was a sound sleeper, but today, she was light; a slight movement from him and she awoke.
She opened her eyes to meet Yun Chi's, a smile spreading across her face, "Did you wake up early?"
Yun Chi shook his head, returning the smile, "Just now."
Hua Yan shifted, stretched languidly, and rolled out of bed. Typically, Yun Chi would sleep on the outside, but after getting drunk last night, he had ended up on the inside. After getting off the bed, she stood in front and asked, "Would you like some water?"
Yun Chi was slightly dazed, his throat indeed dry, and he nodded.
Hua Yan turned to pour him a cup of water, warmed it gently, and handed it to him.
