While Yun Chi was eating, Hua Yan, though waiting, couldn't resist her drowsiness and fell asleep again in his arms.
Her breathing was even, lightly and shallow. From Yun Chi's perspective, she looked incredibly adorable in his arms; just by looking at her like this, his heart softened almost to the point of melting.
He thought that today he must have exhausted her and that he should never let this happen again.
Little Zhongzi brought the medicine, standing at the door, and tentatively whispered, "Your Highness, the medicine for you and the Crown Princess Consort is ready."
Yun Chi hummed in response, "Bring it in."
Little Zhongzi was holding a bowl of medicine in each hand and placed them on the table. Two full bowls of dark, thick medicinal soup. He glanced at Yun Chi and whispered, "This one is for the Crown Princess Consort, and that one is yours."
Yun Chi nodded his head in acknowledgment.
Little Zhongzi then quietly retreated.
