Hua Yan heard Hua Zhuo's words, leaned in, and sat next to him. Her gaze fell on the page he had turned to.
On that last page, there was a bridge without an end, surrounded by cloud mist. One could not see the beginning of the bridge, nor the end; floating above the bridge were two ethereal characters woven from the clouds. Upon closer inspection, they read "Soul Curse."
Hua Yan's pupils also shrank, and for a moment, she was speechless.
"What's wrong?" Tian Bujue leaned in as well. He saw nothing but blank space and said, "Isn't this just a blank page?"
Hua Zhuo and Hua Yan said nothing.
Su Zizhan also leaned over and saw nothing either, just a page of blank paper.
After a long while, Hua Zhuo put down the scroll, his complexion somewhat pale, and said to Hua Yan, "After you drank the poisoned wine, do you remember what happened to you? Did you walk such a road?"
