The hall fell quiet, the moonlight and lamplight merging together to create a bright space.
Leaning against Yun Chi's chest, Hua Yan remained there for a while before speaking softly, "Yun Chi, I'm actually not normal. Although I was born and raised in the Hua Family of Lin'an, I have failed to live up to my heritage. Mentally, since birth, I've always been incomplete."
Yun Chi looked down at her and asked, "This hysteria of yours, present since birth, does it have a cause?"
Hua Yan's gaze was deep and seemed to drift off into the distance.
Fearing she would sink into a state that even his calls could not bring her back from, Yun Chi quickly changed the subject, "Don't think about it anymore, I won't ask."
Hua Yan closed her eyes, her body limp and devoid of strength. Feeling the warmth from his body, she said softly, "There is a cause."
Yun Chi, hearing the ancient and secluded tone in her voice, decidedly spoke, "Don't speak of it, I won't ask."
