Yun Chi took another sip of tea and, not hearing the even breaths of Hua Yan, knew she was not yet asleep. He slowly stood up, approached the bed, removed his outer garment, and hung it aside. Then, without getting into bed, he stood by the bedside watching her.
Feeling his gaze after a while, Hua Yan couldn't help but open her eyes and asked, "What's the matter? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Yun Chi asked her, "I notice you've been lying awake for quite some time. Can't sleep?"
Hua Yan hummed in affirmation, "Perhaps I slept too much during the day, and now I'm not very sleepy."
After thinking for a moment, Yun Chi suggested, "How about I use my skills to help you detoxify? I'm not sleepy right now either."
Hua Yan firmly refused, "No, you've already become as thin as a rake because of me. You can't wear yourself out anymore."
Hearing this, Yun Chi sat at the head of the bed and pondered, "If you can't sleep, why not find something to pass the time?"
