Chereads / Sour Blood: Fated to you / Chapter 4 - Bine ati venti

Chapter 4 - Bine ati venti

It was late in the afternoon, and the sun was shining brightly in the sky. My alarm rang as I tried to get out of bed. I sat up in my bed and stretched to relieve the aches from the night before. I hobble out of bed, feeling like an old lady, and into the shower. Allowing the warm water to caress my body and relax my muscles. As the water worked its magic, I breathed a sigh of relief. I felt less pain and my body wasn't as stiff as it had been.

I stood in the water for as long as I needed before shutting it off and wrapped myself in a towel. Before going downstairs, I hurriedly washed my teeth, began brushing my hair, and applied a little make-up. For me, the day got off to a good start. I've always had difficulties sleeping, but I slept quite well last night, which surprised me.

" Hey, you're well rested, aren't you? Ioana said as she ate her sandwich.

"Yes," I said, nodding.

I came to knock on your door this morning for breakfast, but you were still sleeping. I didn't want to bother you." ", Ioana added as she offered me a sandwich.

"I made this a while ago."

"Thank you," I said, smiling. I haven't slept that long in as long as I can remember, and I'm delighted I was able to last night."

"Nice. In some ways, Brasov gives you a sense of tranquility."

"I believe so." I took a mouthful of the sandwich, and it tasted amazing—better than any sandwich I'd ever had. "Wow, this is surprisingly delicious." I was amused.

"I know right, it's my recipe," Ioana smiled.

It's fantastic; you're such a talented cook. I complimented.

" A chef must be " Ioana murmured. We both burst into laughter.

" So, are you ready for your first ride around town with your new best friend? I smiled as she went on. "I've got a to-do list if you're interested"?

Sure, I am. Whatever you want, I teased.

Okay, I have to leave now to take care of some business. I'll meet you at 3 p.m., call me if you need anything okay"?

"Sure, bye".

Ioana left the house, and I took my time looking around; it was a really nice place. I sat in the rocking chair and gazed out out my window. The sea was a long way from the cottage, but I could see it from afar. And it was unusually silent. As I stared in its direction, a blinding light shone in my eyes. Before me was a gorgeous woman with the most beautiful smooth midnight black hair I had ever seen. She felt so far away, but I could see her so close that I was startled. Her eyes resembled mine, which altered between green, hazel, and midnight blue.

She wore a stunning crimson gown that matched her rubellite diamond jewelry. She called out for me with a smile on her face. She continued calling me by a name, and no matter how many times I heard it, it kept fading out of my memory.

"Hello, are you lost?" I yelled

She kept muttering words I didn't understand; they weren't in any way English.

"Hello, ma'am. Are you lost"? I yelled once more.

'It's me, my child," she said in a whisper and her soft voice made me melt. I was perplexed; her voice seemed to break my heart

" Who are you?, are you lost? do you need something "

" it's good to see you alive dear", She quietly said, "Welcome back home."

Now I was terrified; I couldn't comprehend a word she said, and I confused how I could hear everything she said while she was so far away. I could definitely see her; it was weird and unsettling.

" My time is limited, and I must depart. I'll be back, little one. A beam of light struck me in the eyes. When I looked up, she was gone. I felt dizzy and struggled to maintain my balance. I was held by a soft hand. When I looked up, it was Ioana.

Are you all right? Ioana asked concerned.

I searched around for the woman I had spoken with earlier, but I couldn't find her. I attempted to stand again, only to lose my balance.

" Relax; you look stressed". Ioana said, bringing my attention to her.

"Water," I squeaked, my voice hoarse.

She dashed inside to get a glass of water and assist me in drinking it. Looking at me with concern.

"Are you all right?"

I'm all right now. I looked around some more, but I couldn't find the lady.

" Akki "?

"Uh, no, nothing; I'm fine; probably still jet lagged; that's all." That should do it; I was probably hallucinating. My anxiety has returned. Just take a deep breath, Akki, and you'll be alright. It's simply your nerves, okay?

" You should probably rest more; we'll go to town another time." Ioana stated

" It's alright; trust me," I assured her as she kept staring at me with concern.

"Let me get ready, then we'll go into town", I said.

I dressed up, and we drove to town. Ioana did the majority of the talking while we drove around town. The town was strangely quiet and everyone stared at me wherever we went. I had no idea why.

Is it common for folks to stare around here?" I asked, curious.

"We don't get many visitors here," Ioana admitted.

''Okay, cool."

"Yeah, it's a little town; practically everyone knows each other, so when they meet a fresh face, they stare, "Let's grab lunch here."

We had lunch at a little diner. We ordered toast and scrambled eggs with fresh juice. I noticed the waitress keep staring at me; it was awkward, but as Ioana mentioned, they're probably not used to guests, so I shrugged it off.Ioana hurriedly excused herself to answer a phone call outside, leaving me to finish my lunch. Then I saw a shadow. I looked up to see the waitress standing in front of me.

"May I join you?" she inquired. "Pardon my manners; my name is Alina, I own the place, and I also know Ioana," she added as I hesitated to respond. I don't mean you no harm, but if you're uncomfortable, I can leave you alone." She explained

" It's okay; I'm sorry; please have a seat," I said.

"New in town"? Alina inquired, and I nodded in accord.

"Are you having a good time?"

"Yes, I am..." I smiled.

She kept smiling at me, and her expression was no longer as scary as it had been. I felt my body relax and become at ease.

"Do you believe in the supernatural?"

"Not really."

"Would you like to hear a story?" she said eagerly.

"Alright," I answered, laughing a little.

"Many years ago, a powerful witch was claimed to have performed a spell to make this town a safe refuge for mystical entities to hide among mortals. Over time, various magical creatures such as vampires, werewolves, witches, hybrids, dragons, and others dwelt here, and it was known as Rai Sigur Mistic. A idyllic, safe heaven.

They all lived in peace and harmony. The Malkavian, Tremeres, Gangrel, and the most powerful of them, the Alizarin, are the vampires' four power families. The Alizarin were the first vampire family to inhabit the earth; they, like werewolves and the original witches, are part of the primordial. It's unclear how they came to be. They have powers that typical vampires do not, such as super speed, super strength, healing, and telepathy, and they can detect a lie simply by looking.

"Is it possible to detect a lie? "Don't you think that's a little far-fetched?" I said

"You don't believe me?" she inquired.

"Not really, but the lie detection just seems—you know, no one can detect a lie," I joked, laughing.

"Stop interrupting me."

"Oh, sorry, go on" . With all of this story, this lady appears to be out of her mind; all I can do is listen. I was perplexed as to why the Ioana call was taking so long.

The werewolves now had two power families: the primordial werewolves and the guardian werewolves. The primordial werewolves were the second strongest, yet they pale in comparison to the guardian werewolves. These werewolves lived long before vampires and witches. An ancient magic forged from Zeus' rod. They have razor-sharp claws, teeth, pointed ears, and a nose! The boys have a beautiful sexy, seductive, lustful, and athletically fit appearance; the sexy girls are incredibly stunning beyond words, with long, snowy hair like yours.

She grabs my hand and bends in to touch my hair. I don't think I can go on like this much longer, Ioana. Where are you?

She drew back as she went on. They were shapeshifters, and unlike the other werewolves, they could assume the complete wolf form. You won't know if you stumble across one in the woods.

For a long time, peace reigned until unusual killings began to occur: vampire bites on humans, werewolves, and witches began to appear. This sparked a feud, particularly between werewolves and vampires. One day, powerful werewolf families began to die; others went missing, sparking a massive battle. This war would develop into a centuries-long struggle. The guardian wolf invented a weapon, the Ancient Silver Maple Ash Dagger, that could kill vampires, and they vanished forever. No one has seen a guardian wolf in a long time, but a prophecy exists.

For centuries, we've heard the legend of how a great leader would appear one day. A guardian wolf with godlike powers, whose light may heal or bring chaos, and whose bite is exceedingly fatal and excruciatingly painful to all superntaural entities except themselves. With a moon-shaped birthmark on her neck. who is fated to be with a vampire who can walk in daylight. We always assumed it was folklore.

She rose up and walked towards me, her hands on my shoulders, dragging my top down.

"What the yell is wrong with you?" I yelled.

"You don't have the mark?" she enquired

"You're insane; you need to get checked" . I took my bag an walked out since I couldn't wait any longer for Ioana.

"You can't run away from your destiny," she yelled after me.

Without looking back I kept walking; I couldn't find Ioana anywhere; then my phone battery died. I continued walking and found myself in a wood; it was growing dark. I had no idea where I was; I was fatigued, my legs hurt, and the worst part was that I couldn't get the waitress' voice out of my head. But, for some inexplicable reason, I felt comfortable in the woods. I don't know why. I couldn't walk any further; I was too fatigued.

I found a spot to lie down. The moon was gorgeous as I looked at it, and the sound of the cricket sounded like music to me. For a while, I had the impression that someone was watching me. I stood up to glance around; no one was there. Someone had been monitoring me since I left the diner. I'm probably being paranoid; it's an odd day and a strange town.

As my eyelids closed, I went back to sleep. A familiar voice laughed. Again, the woman who was usually in my nightmares shone brightly, and happiness radiated from her face as she called out to a child.

"Come here, Dragă, come, my darling," she exclaimed as the child approached her.

"My beautiful warrior," she began, brushing her hands through the child's hair and whispering as she leaned in for an embrace.

"amintește-ți că sunt mereu cu tinete iubesc zapada mea" (remember I'm with you always love you my snow ")

My tears streamed down my cheeks as her words faded into the air. When I awoke, I was in my room. What! How did this  happen?
