Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: This is the best place for someone to die

The glumness of the sky shattered when the morning light broke through. All the heavy, sorrow-laden clouds which did heavy downpours last night are finally fleeing.

The morning ray of sun fell on the pillow of the room where YinLan was lying. It even started to move over her face as the time of day started climbing further. As the ray of light reached her face, her face twisted involuntarily in reaction. It was really bright morning after the long night of rain; maybe that's why the ray of the sun was strong.

YinLan, furrowing her face for a while, opened her eyes. As she opened her eyes, the strong rays of the sun made her flutter her eyes for a while before her vision became clear.

After she opened her eyes, she got a glimpse of a very beautiful ceiling in front of her eyes. There was a very beautiful carving near its cornice.

Seeing that sight, a silent whisper leaves her mouth unconsciously, "strange sight," with a straight face.

She remains in a daze for a while and looks around the room. While looking all around, she found that she was lying on the bed of a very elegant and beautiful room, which has very expensive paintings hanging over the beautifully painted wall. Not only that, but the room also has large windows, whose curtain was opened because of that reason, and the rays of the sun were making their way inside the room.

Next to the window, a small table was placed with a couch. On that table, there was something made of gold and silver placed for decoration. It was eyes catching because it was shining because of the reflection of the sun.

But those luxurious items were not enough to attract her attention because her mind was filled with something else, which made her murmur silently, "I can speak again?". Despite the fact that her voice was waxy and shaggy as she spoke, she was glad to hear it.

She quickly touched her body, which was covered inside the blanket, and a silent exclamation let out from her mouth, making her speechless as she asked, "Was that a dream?"

Inside the blanket, she discovered that her body was fully dressed in long sleeves clothes, although those clothes were pajamas, which hospitals usually offer.

Without wasting her time, she pinched her left cheek with her left hand, asking, "This is not a dream, is it?" which made her conclude that it was not because the result was really painful and caused her mouth to groan in silence.

She sighs in wonder, slowly rubbing her cheeks in discomfort and asking, "What type of awful nightmare did I have?"

She forced her elbow and began to slowly raise herself up in the sitting position. This is when her attention was pulled towards the machine, which she hadn't paid attention to earlier.

On her right side, she found an IV drip machine connected to a tube, whose ends were going into the blanket. She then realized her right hand was heavier than usual.

She immediately took the blanket off in a panic, only to discover that her hand was attached to those tubes.

She asks incredulously, "Why is this glucose bottle connected to my hand?" while blinking her eye in bewilderment.

All of a sudden, the scene of the night started to run in front of her eyes, giving her a shiver up her spine. She asked in her husky voice, "What exactly happened last night? Those events were too good to be true. That can't be a dream. His warmth was real. He was here. Then why did he leave suddenly? And this... I was not bearing anything at night as if I am remembering correctly, and now my skin is all covered. How?"

Abruptly getting out of bed while pulling the injection stitches away from her hand, she asked, "I don't think it's the same room I was in last night. Where exactly am I?" as she whirls around as stood on her feet.

Her hand took the help of the table where the air purifying machine was placed as she struggled out of bed she thought, "Did something happen after I fainted?"

As she stood on her feet, she felt a sudden headache and her head spinning. She covered her head with her hand as she took a little rest while leaning on the bed.

She screamed, "What is happening here?" as she took a momentary rest.

The reflection of light flashing on her face from the mirror had unconsciously pulled her attention to the corner near the window.

Then, after dragging herself to her feet, she staggeringly walked towards the mirror.

Upon reaching in front of the mirror, she found a lady standing in front of it who has brown hair reaching below her shoulder, but it is not too long either.

looking in the mirror YinLan retorted, "This face was the face of YinLan when she was young, How old exactly I am?" as she huffed in amazement.

Because if YinLan had lived in the past, she would have had a burn mark on her face, as well as numerous wounds adorning her body. But now her face appears to be as beautiful and clean as it used to be, indicating that she has truly turned back the clock.

Touching her cheeks, which were even breaking red because of the pain she was feeling, she questioned " How did this miracle happen?"

Without thinking, her hand covered her tummy. "My child," she says, slowly rubbing her hands in a half circle, "it is not dead yet," over her stomach.

"Then I am really returning five years back in time." She had a faint smile on her face as she realized that the child, who was her sole hope, was still alive and well inside her body.

She squints her eyes away from the mirror and mumbles incoherently, "Five years. But why five years? What exactly happened when I turned 25? All I remember is that I just got news of being pregnant this year. I don't think that could be the reason for my returning to this period of time," while her hand was still resting on her stomach.

Her gaze became wavering, dipping in and out of the reflection when an astounding feature pulled her attention. It was the pair of crystal blue eyes that were making an appearance on her face.

Looking at that, her face contorted in anger, and she pushed her hand inside her eyes. After a while of struggle, she stopped and looked inside the mirror, fluttering her eye as she wiped away the tiny tears.

Grinning with contentment, she said, "This is how it should be." In her hand, she was holding content lenses.

Throwing away those lenses, she commented to herself, "I wonder why I even tortured myself for nothing. My eyes are well and healthy, but I still made myself wear these lenses just to cover my brown eyes. Nonsense"

YinLan has beautiful brown eyes, which are transparent likes water, but when she heard that Liang Chen liked blue eyes, she started to put on contact lenses just to get his attention. Her effort did not end there. She even dyed her brown hair black for him when she found he liked black-haired women. But all of her efforts got wasted, and none of that stuff even got Liang Chen's attention in the end.

She got a bitter death in the end. She bit her lips in displeasure as Her body began to feel pitiful.

She stepped away from the mirror while clenching her fist.

As she turned her head, looking inside the room, a question clicked in her mind, "Where exactly am I?" In her last life, after being kidnapped, she didn't remember exactly what happened because of drugs. so seeing the room differently from before is really shocking for her. Strolling slightly, she can assume that this must be some hospital room. But when did hospital rooms look so beautiful, like hotel rooms? Of course, if it is the VIP hospital room, then it is a different case, but just for a small illness, only the Liang Chen family could afford such a large sum.

Yinlan's face became grim as she touched the painting, which she saw first after waking up, as she whispered, "Did the Fu family send me here? I guess this must be the case. But what's the point of saving an already dead person and even offering such luxuries that mean nothing to them? What kind of mindset is that? It looks like saving a family's reputation is more important than saving a life for them."

She chuckles with agony as she walks away from the wall. Ignoring everything, she only touched the glass of water that had been put beside the bed because she felt her throat was dying from a thrust.

leisurely walking towards the window, she put down the glass of water on the table without paying attention to the clock, which was made of silver.

She didn't pay attention to the main door of the room or the door of another room that is connected to the room where she is; she doesn't even know whether the main door is open or closed. She opened the window's door after pulling the knob with force. The strong force of the wind blew past her before letting her have the proper view outside. She found there was no balcony beside the window at all, and the room in which she was standing must have been on the fifteenth floor of the building.

When she saw such height, the devil's smirk escaped her lips. She used to be afraid of heights, but seeing this one made her excited, and she mused something perverse at the end: "This is the best place for someone to die, isn't it?"
