"After receiving thanks from Duke Bardek, I was told by a Guild employee who had been yelling at Grubert to come along. They brought me to a reception room on the other side of the counter.
Amy and Lizrina were providing first aid to the stabbed Guild employee, while Aid and Keith were questioning Grubert.
I understand that Guell is in the reception room, but do they really need to bring me there too?
"So, Guild Master, could you tell us about the extent of the damage?"
"Yes, this has been happening for a while now. Grubert demanded taxes from me, threatened to take the Comprehensive Guild's funds, and insisted that I follow his rules, saying, 'Even though I made these rules, obey them, commoner!' He also harassed Comprehensive Guild employees, and some even faced minor assaults. It seems Grubert instructed adventurers to target our staff. There doesn't appear to be any significant information leakage, but I'll investigate further just to be sure."
This guy is the Guild Master. That Chara guy, Grubert, really went too far!
"I've heard there's damage in the city too. Is that true?"
The Guild Master lowered his gaze for some reason and then looked straight at Duke Bardek.
"Yes, there have been reports from the citizens regarding that matter. Galley, please inform the Comprehensive Guild."
The man standing next to the Guild Master said, "Yes!" and then pulled out a bundle of papers from his pocket.
"According to reports from citizens, Grubert was raising taxes without permission and forcibly making people pay. Those who couldn't pay were subjected to violence or murder as a warning. In the city's restaurants, weapon shops, armor shops, and general stores, Grubert engaged in free dining, unpaid tabs, and claimed contributions, but in reality, he was robbing them. There are also reports of missing citizens in the city, most of whom are connected to Grubert, and some evidence confirms this. While there hasn't been any significant information leakage, we'll investigate further just to be safe."
There's no way to escape from this now.
"With all these reports at the Comprehensive Guild alone, it looks like we can strip his title without a trial through home investigation."
It seems like title stripping is already certain, as far as I can tell.
"By the way, Chairman Bardek, I've been curious since earlier... Who is that young lady over there?"
It's natural to have questions. I'm neither Duke Bardek's guard nor a maid.
"Oh, I haven't introduced her yet! Her name is Ellaina. She not only informed us about the ambush by those barbaric adventurers but also helped us fend them off, allowing us to arrive safely in Gozes. And, most importantly, she played a crucial role in capturing Grubert. Honestly, this girl is a lifesaver."
"Um, nice to meet you. My name is Ellaina."
I introduced myself, and the Guild Master looked at me with a smile.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Barboss Detos, and I'm a human, as you can see. The person next to me is Galley."
"I'm Galley. I don't have a family name. I want to express my gratitude for helping our employees earlier and assisting in capturing Grubert."
"I also want to thank you. Thank you."
The Guild Master bowed his head while saying this.
"N-no, not at all..."
I said, blushing.
"Hmm?"
"Oh, Barboss, don't worry about it; please continue with the discussion."
"Is that so... Well, this young lady seems to have come to register with the Comprehensive Guild. Please proceed with the registration process."
After hearing Duke Bardek's explanation, everyone had surprised expressions on their faces.
"Are you really registering with the Comprehensive Guild? Can you do that with these stats?"
"Well, I'm not really sure if my stats are good or not... But, yeah, I guess they're normal."
I mean, there's no way you can represent an FPS player's stats with an RPG game's stat display. So, this display isn't incorrect.
"N-no way! This is far from normal!"
"I can't believe it."
Huh? Deja vu? I feel like I've seen this scene before.
"Is there a problem with my stats?"
Everyone in the room, except me, froze in place.
"Ellaina, how do you feel about your displayed stats?"
In the midst of this, Duke Bardek asked me, touching my chin while I thought about my displayed stats.
"Well... I don't know if they're normal or not, but... Yeah, if I think about it, they seem pretty normal."
Because when I was Haruto Kuramoto, I was seventeen, so I assumed I inherited the same age.
"Are these stats real?"
"Amy, you know that the True Crystal doesn't display fake stats, right? Do you think she could fake this?"
"Well... yeah, if she were faking it, she'd probably make her stats look better. But, seriously, are you really fifteen? And with that chest? You still have room to grow!"
While Amy said that, she had an expression of disbelief.
"However, these stats are abnormal. Magic power at zero, no skills, and an unknown class... This is..."
Is there a problem?
"Um, is there something wrong with my stats?"
I was thoroughly explained about the abnormality of my stats after that.
