Rod remembered clearly that Dean Theodore had immediately taken him and his trusted aide, along with their spell, to Laisuo City through teleportation.
Laisuo City had been destroyed by unknown monsters, the City Defense Legion wiped out. Dean Theodore had undoubtedly been defeated, yet Rod did not expect to encounter him here.
What surprised Rod, however, was that upon seeing him, a Guard Knight immediately shouted, "Stay back! It's dangerous here!"

Although I kept circling around the Black Death Beast, it didn't mean I was afraid of it. It was just that the creature was tough and yielded little benefit, and I wasn't interested in entangling with it.
