Chapter 26 - Chapter 20 Teach Me_2

Mina glanced at Rod, and a faint glimmer appeared in her eyes before she turned back to her workstation.

"Come on."

As soon as Rod saw the crystal ball and the circular device on the ground, he knew they were going to test his Fire Spark again.

He felt a bit nervous but didn't hesitate with his movements, stepping onto the disk and placing his right hand on the crystal ball.

Moments later, the crystal ball once again displayed text.

Rod glanced at it and realized it was another set of ancient characters he completely didn't recognize.

Just like the previous examiner, Mina's delicate brows furrowed, but instead of looking for reference materials, she asked, "What name did the examiner give you last time?"

"Black Bucket," Rod said unemotionally.

Two senior students behind him couldn't help but let out a snicker.

Mina's frown deepened even more.

She looked back and forth at the text on the crystal ball a few times and said with a touch of helplessness, "Let's just use that."

Rod didn't mind, knowing that as long as nothing out of the ordinary was discovered, any name would do.

"Do you know what your abilities are?"

"I do," Rod simply explained the function of the Eye of the Soul.

This was actually a disguise; the true ability of the Eye of the Soul, which came from the Black Altar, was the taboo Soul Sucking.

They seemed to be unable to differentiate, however.

After listening, a red-badge said, "That sounds quite impressive, no wonder you could become a special student upon just entering the school."

Shaw scoffed, "Isn't that just Spiritual Vision?"

Mina ignored him and asked, "Can you use it?"

"I can."

She took out a Mist Crystal Ball from under the table.

"Use your ability to observe it and tell me what you see."

Rod focused his attention on his eyes and gently tapped his brow three times with Spiritual Energy, activating the Eye of the Soul.

The Mist Crystal Ball instantly turned black.

"Pure black," Rod said succinctly.

The expressions of Mina and the four seniors changed instantly.

The red-badge asked, "Rod, do you know what this crystal ball is?"

"I don't."

Mina took out another crystal ball, "How about this one?"

"A flower."

"Describe it."

"Golden, with seven petals."

"And this one?"

"A... well, a wolf, I guess, with two heads."

The red-badge's expression turned serious as he asked, "Mina, do you have a higher-grade Mist Crystal Ball?"

Mina shook her head slightly, "No."

The red-badge asked solemnly, "What level of Spiritual Vision does that equate to?"

"Extremely strong," Mina answered succinctly. "Absolute Vision over 80, but limited by the level of Spiritual Power, the absolute dimension is only three; he can't see certain things."

"That's still very strong," the red-badge said. "His Fire Spark is definitely a rare First Level variety, and once he learns Spiritual Vision, his detection abilities will surpass most people. By the time he graduates, the entire academy will be whispering his name."

"Hot commodity!"

Rod scratched his head, thinking, aren't they fools?

Shaw scoffed, "What's so great about that..."

"Shut up!" the red-badge shouted. "You and your Spiritual Vision of nine Stone Wood Core, wouldn't see a Ghost Spirit hovering over your face! Wasting a vial of Spirit Tree Dew on you! Do you know how expensive that is?"

Shaw's face turned red, and veins throbbed on his forehead, "I was just careless for a moment, didn't dodge, I didn't expect it to ambush me..."

Ignoring him, the red-badge continued, "Just based on this, he can become a special student. The command of His Excellency the Dean will not be wrong."

A radiant smile appeared on Mina's exquisitely beautiful face.

"That's right, we've gained a little more to anticipate for the future."

She winked at Rod playfully.

"Little bro, if you ever encounter any difficulties, you can come to your sister anytime, okay?"

She emphasized the words "anytime," causing the people behind her to burst into laughter.

Only Shaw was green with envy, gritting his teeth and saying, "Sister Mina, I want too..."

Mina's face changed instantly, "Scram, you with your Spiritual Vision of only 9 Stone Wood Core."

Shaw's face fell, "Why? This world is too cruel to me..."

No one paid attention to him as Mina intimately took Rod's hand and dragged him to another workstation.

"Lasha! Get up and get to work!"

A nest-haired guy opened his eyes, groggy, and said, "Let me sleep a bit more, Mina, I haven't slept for a whole day..."

But Mina mercilessly shook him awake, "You get up now!"

Nest Hair had no choice but to open for business, begrudgingly taking out a heap of crystal products and fiddling with them on the table.

Mina turned around and asked with concern, "How are you feeling, little Rod?"

"Soft and squishy..."

Mina smacked him lightly, a faint blush on her pretty face, but she wasn't really blaming him.

"I meant your state! You're about to be tested for your Spiritual Energy, so quickly adjust yourself."

Nest Hair couldn't stand their intimate whispering, quickly arranged the crystal products, and said indifferently, "Put your hands on this, concentrate, and for the next fifteen seconds, try your best to gather your Spiritual Energy in your hands."

Rod quickly discarded all distractions, took a deep breath, focused his mind, stepped forward, placed his hands on the crystal panel, closed his eyes, and did his utmost to squeeze out the Spiritual Energy from his soul.

His hands soon emitted a faint Spiritual Light, like a thin layer of mist covering them.

Lasha's expression altered slightly.

He glanced at the instrument for a moment, then lifted his head and asked seriously, "Is this a student from which year?"

The person with the red armband answered, "A freshman, just enrolled three days ago."

Lasha praised, "Not bad, quite impressive."

He reported a string of data.

"Highest Spiritual Power Strength 98 marks, maximum Spiritual Energy output 21, average Spiritual Pressure 7, excellent endurance, you'll perform well in sustained combat, but your Spiritual Power Level is only at one."

Rod, completely confused, couldn't help but ask, "What does all this mean?"

Lasha scratched his nest hair and explained, "Your Spiritual Power Strength has surpassed your Spiritual Power Level. Your soul isn't very adapted to this strength, like a too-large object could damage the container that holds it. Over time, it will cause irreversible damage to your soul."

The red armband said, "You need to undergo a Spiritual Power ascension ceremony as soon as possible to help your soul better adapt to your expanding Spiritual Energy."

"After the ascension, the nature of your Spiritual Energy will also become stronger, and your body will gradually adapt to the changes in your soul."

Mina smiled and said, "I will prepare it as soon as possible, the ascension for a First-Level Spiritual Energy is quite simple."

Shaw muttered, "Just 98, what's so great about that..."

"Shut up!" the red armband barked. "Believe it or not, you'll be begging him in a while!"

Shaw's face instantly turned red as he shouted, "Even if I were to kneel on the ground and eat shit, I wouldn't beg him!"

The red armband couldn't be bothered with him anymore, turned around, and smilingly said to Rod, "Congratulations, you're now officially a special student at Jinworth Academy."

Even now, Rod hadn't quite figured out what was happening, his mind buzzing as he asked, "What's the use of being a special student? Why have I suddenly become a special student?"

The red armband explained, "Special students are a status set up by the academy for those with exceptional potential or abilities that don't fit into the normal curriculum, the purpose being to better tailor a specific training plan for them, helping them to develop their own abilities more effectively."

Rod inexplicably felt a bit nervous; he didn't really want to step into the spotlight.

"Does that mean I have to change my class group?"

The red armband shook his head, "No, you're still in the third institute, tenth series, tenth group. Your foundation is weak, and standard learning is still essential. We'll arrange a special tutor for you and customize a special training course."

"Every week, you need to go to Heidler Training Ground for specialized training, and everything else remains as usual."

Rod relaxed a little; as long as the changes were minimal, it was fine.

Afterwards, the red armband helped him with some necessary procedures and gave him a special student badge, completing the work.

Now, all he had to do was to go back to his normal classes and wait for notification.

Before leaving, Mina waved at him especially, chuckling, "Little Rod, remember to come and find me when you're free. I live at twenty-one, building seven, third institute."

Rod didn't pay much attention to it, but as soon as he left the door, someone stopped him.

Turning his head, it was that tragic poet Shaw.

"Please," he said, "teach me."
