Rod's heart sank.
If the Dean insisted on keeping him at the academy, he wouldn't be able to leave, and that would greatly affect his subsequent actions.
No.
Rod's thoughts raced.
I can't just agree to this—I must find a way to persuade him.
"So, you should have come to me earlier."
Uh?
Rod opened his mouth, but his words choked in his throat.
Theodore pulled a silver whistle out of his pocket and placed it in his hand.
"This is an amulet I made using a piece of my soul fragment. It can summon my phantom, which can deal with monsters below the mature super rank, and also escape from high-rank fierce monsters."
His azure eyes looked at him, with a slight reproach in his gaze.
"If you find yourself in danger, use it. Before the spiritual energy inside is depleted, you can bring it back to me."
Rod took the whistle, and a warm current suddenly surged in his heart.
Not knowing how to express his gratitude, he awkwardly hid his embarrassment by drinking some tea.
Damn!
