Janet's POV
For the second time, I had made the same mistake that Leroy had always warned me about, which was to always cross-check before resting or celebrating, and this time around, Leroy isn't here to save me; I have to take responsibility for my mistake myself.
"Damnit, I muttered angrily before pulling the arrow out of my back, and without hesitating, I rushed towards the soldier and stabbed him on the neck with the arrow, pinning him to the ground.
With that, I returned to where the other soldier was and peered directly into his eyeballs.
"Don't forget to deliver my message to your Alpha," I said to him before vanishing with super speed.
