Chapter 73 - Chapter 72: The farewells

I found myself lounging outside the capital, catching a few winks while anticipating Shirou's party's arrival. Nero and Tamamo, on the other hand, were already in a snoring duet, leaning on each other in an impressive display of naptime coordination.

Suddenly, a caravan rolled up to the gates, and my attention was drawn to a tall figure with silver hair leading the way, accompanied by a young man with auburn locks. Shirou spotted me and seemed perplexed.

"Oh, bother," I muttered, clapping my hands to rouse Tamamo and Nero.

"Wha–!!" They jolted awake.

"Start the music," I whispered. Nero nodded and conjured up some tunes from a hidden device, while Tamamo sidled up to me, adding a touch of playboy flair.

"Hahaha! You must be the illustrious hero Siegfried, right?!" I chuckled, addressing the tall and handsome hero before me. Dammit it, why can't I have such an impressive physique?

"That I am," Siegfried replied with calm composure.

"Listen up. While you were off assisting that scoundrel Gunther in charming another lady, I swiped everything that belongs to you, including your lady love, Kriemhild!"

"…" Silence hung in the air. I waited for a reaction, but Siegfried remained unmoved, just standing there, staring at me. Meanwhile, Shirou buried his face in his palm and shook his head.

"Titus, you can drop the act. Siegfried is cool now," Shirou said, responding to my confusion.

I strolled toward Siegfried and asked, "You won't be going around granting people's wishes, right?"

"No, I won't. Shirou Emiya here gave me a reality check," Siegfried answered, sighing. "But why does everyone want to involve my wife in these matters?"

Shirou stepped forward, explaining, "I've filled him in on everything, so you don't need to keep up this charade. Besides, your acting is just terrible."

"Hey, everyone has their first time!" I retorted with a smirk.

At that moment, a rumbling reached our ears, and from the distance emerged someone hurtling toward us from the capital. It wasn't a beast or an enraged deity—it was a girl.

"LORD SIEGFRIED!!!!!!!!!!!" Kriemhild's scream preceded her forceful tackle on Siegfried.

"Kriemhild, wait –!" Siegfried attempted to halt his wife, but it was too late. They were both propelled meters away by her impact.

"Man, she's intimidating," Shirou remarked.

"Tell me about it. Imagine trying to get her on board with my plans," I said, emphasizing the difficulty while watching the dragon slayer facing hardship into taming his berserker wife.

"What a waste of time! I'm out!" Nero grunted and stormed off.

"I'm heading to make dinner for my husband. Goodbye!" Tamamo waved before following Nero.

"Are they..."

"Yes, that's Nero Claudius and Tamamo-no-Mae," I confirmed to Shirou, keeping an eye on my departing companions.

"It seems you've managed to reconcile your regrets during this time," observed Shirou, watching Tamamo and Nero leave.

"Yeah, it seems you've done the same," I replied, offering a smile.

"Hmm, I won't ever forget this. Thanks, Titus," Shirou expressed his gratitude with a smile, but then sighed. "But I still messed up. Queen Brunnhilde won't remain silent."

"Don't fret. I'll handle her," I assured him, deciding to resolve this final issue.

---

Resolving the issues with Brunnhilde and Gunther turned out to be less challenging than anticipated. I employed a few spells to manipulate Brunnhilde's perceptions, making her believe that Gunther had successfully completed her trials, only to have his strength stolen by an evil wizard. This led to her divorcing Gunther.

As for the unfortunate Gunther, banished first from Iceland and then from Burgundy by the king and Kriemhild's eldest brother, Giselher, it seemed like he might be living a miserable life. However, only I knew the truth — he met a grisly end in hell, devoured by a beast. Problem solved.

"Why did you decide to help me?" Siegfried queried, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Well, you're undeniably a good hero. It just didn't sit right with me to see you succumbing to people's selfish requests," I replied.

Siegfried and I sat in front of a bonfire, chatting about various matters. I only tell my secret like I came from future as in the case with Nero, Tamamo and Scathach but for others, I didn't reveal them. I just told Siegfried that I was one of his admirer who wanted to help him. After his eventual demise, he would uncover the truth. No need to complicate things unnecessarily.

"I'm glad I can be of help to people," Siegfried said, smiling as he gently caressed his wife's hair, who was peacefully sleeping on his shoulder.

"It's good to help those in need, but always prioritize the people you love. Protect her smile and her vagina, they're precious," I advised with a grin.

"That I will. And keep my wife's vagina out of your mouth," Siegfried retorted with a smile.

We sealed our conversation with a handshake before I strolled over to Shirou, who observed the party from a distance.

"Missing Sakura?" I inquired, handing him a can of soda.

"Yeah..." Shirou sighed, taking a sip. "After gaining the memories of my alternate self, I realized how precious those people are who love you. I shouldn't have left Sakura."

"Well, it's partly my fault. I think her problem might be connected to the Moon Cell," I confessed.

My system had brought the Whore of Babylonia into this world, altering the fabric of peace.

"I think it was for the best. Do you remember how I was able to project weapons even when I was just a greenhorn?" Shirou asked, triggering a realization.

In his battles with the Matou Family, he projected weapons without having encountered his servant self since the Holy Grail War never occurred. It struck me that all three of them might be influenced by their alternate selves from the Moon Cell.

"Yeah, from the moment I saw you for the first time, I felt like I'd seen you somewhere before. Then I started materializing swords I'd never seen before," I admitted.

In short, this Shirou could be the Shirou from Fate/Extra. It meant that Rin, too...

"Anyway, let's focus on bringing your girlfriend back," I suggested. "You can leave now. I'll wake up shortly after."

"Um," Shirou smiled before disappearing into the ripples of light.

---

I found myself seated on a bench, flanked by two captivating women, gazing at the moon as the departure time approached. Opting to savor a few more moments with Nero and Tamamo, I nestled into the bench.

"It takes me back to the days when we used to admire the full moon together every month. Right, Takeru-sama?" Tamamo inquired, leaning into my left arm.

"Yeah," I smiled, then added, "By the way, did you two notice anything different about me?"

"Now that you mention it, I just realized you've got brown hair and a slightly different face, Tacitus." Nero looked puzzled.

"Oh my~! You really are different from Takeru-sama. Brown hair instead of black," Tamamo chimed in.

It dawned on me why Jack the Ripper used to pounce on me, even though I wasn't as hefty as in the London dreamshift. It seemed that individuals from various dreamshifts perceived me differently until I reminded them.

"Well, it doesn't matter. We fell in love with the person inside you."

"That's right~! You won us over with your love, not your appearance. Umu!"

"Hehe," I chuckled, then posed one final query. "What do you see in me in the Moon Cell? I mean, I wasn't even a person, just a memory."

I perpetually struggled to comprehend what Nero and Tamamo saw in me within the Moon Cell. I was just... an ordinary person, with no extraordinary deeds that could have caused them to fall for me.

Tamamo and Nero exchanged glances, then shrugged. "We don't know."

I shook my head with a helpless smile. "You both have a horrible taste in men."

I think I could never understand their logic but I was glad that they did or else I would have never gotten them.

"Ah~! There you go again," Nero moaned, smiling as my hand ventured into her trouser, teasing her peach.

Well, duh~! It was the last day in this reality and I wanted to enjoy them to my heart's content.

"Hmm~! Of course, you want to savor it; otherwise, you wouldn't be the Takeru-sama we adore," Tamamo gleefully moaned as my other hand explored beneath her shirt, my hands fondling her bundles.

What ensued were countless echoes of pleasure throughout the night, a symphony of adventure and joy.

On this final night in this reality, I was determined to relish every moment with them.

[You have completed the mission.]

In the ethereal expanse, a blank canvas where I could inspect my rewards and memories before returning to reality, I delved into the unexpected gifts I had received.

[You have received the following rewards:

1. 300,000 LCs.

2. Dragon (Race mix)

3. Passive Skill (Dragon Slayer B)

4. Passive Skill (Avenger C)

5. 2 Servant Summons into Moon Cell.]

Surprised by the generosity, I decided to explore their details before awakening.

[Dragon:

STR +100

END +100]

[Dragon Slayer B

Effect: Your total power will be increased by 20% against Dragon Enemies.]

[Avenger C

Effect: Your total power will be increased by 15% against enemies you are taking revenge against.]

[Permanent Servant summon.

You can permanently summon two servants in the Moon Cell.]

While the first two enhancements might not be immediately impactful, the prospect of summoning a servant in the modern-day timeline excited me. The dream of forming a harem was on the verge of realization.

Amidst the rewards, three Memory Fragments awaited my attention.

1. Siegfried.

2. Kriemhild.

3. Nameless (Shirou Emiya).

I was taken aback by Kriemhild's memories' inclusion, as I had anticipated only Siegfried's and Shirou's. Summoning Siegfried's wife caught me off guard.

Nevertheless, I chose to delve into Shirou's memories among the trio. I aimed to understand why I failed in the grail war with one of the main Servant of the Fate/Extra game out of the three. Time to uncover that connection.

(AN: I wanted to include Altera since she was also alive in this timeline but I couldn't connect her to story. It just didn't feel right to write a story with her. Her story would only act as fillers.)
