A new resident has moved into Park Orchard.
It was a handsome priest in missionary robes, with a mature and calm demeanor, and a generous hand that made the landlord happy.
Eleazar was initially curious about the new neighbor.
But it was some time afterward, and after several assassinations, that he realized his opponent's intentions in moving back.
...
Hearing the renewed commotion from next door, Shua got up and pulled back the curtains, then saw the Witcher, with a dagger in the back of his neck, storming out into the street after a figure.
That Shadow Martial Artist who was spewing blood from his mouth disappeared into the Shadow Realm right after him.
Witcher clearly remembered that trick he had learned a few days before and instantly took a deep breath.
"Hey..."
Shua opened his mouth and realized that there was no time to stop his opponent from spewing dragon breath.
He only had time to raise his hand, like pulling a lamp cord, and let a white, holy light descend on the place, weakening as much as possible the effects of the transcendent power.
In the next second, a dragon flame that made the sky reflect red gushed out along the street, the fire wave swept a few meters high, and from a distance, it looked as if the Hundred Fruit Garden, which was as bright as day, turned into a sea of fire again in a blink of an eye.
After watching him cast Holy Light, Witcher instead increased the power of Dragon Breath even more recklessly!
A few moments later, the dragon flames went out, dark red ashes rose in the sky, and Xiuya was silent as he watched the charred body at the end of the street throw itself down.
Witcher manages to fend off another assassination.
As with the previous times he caused damage, he was again using his backtracking ability to restore various public equipment such as streetlights and phone booths that had disappeared several times.
In the end, only the buildings with hot air curling up from both sides of the street were left behind, and the whole of the Hundred Fruit Garden looked like it had entered the heat of summer.
Residents who heard the slightest disturbance awoke from their slumber and peeked out of their windows, only to see the streets below scorched and cracked everywhere like dry land.
The residents, who had already seen this scene several times, subconsciously muttered.
"Did this dream again..."
Anyway, after dawn, the outside would return to its usual state, and they'd all seen it before, and although it was a little strange, they couldn't figure out why, so their brains went along with it and categorized it as a dream.
Luna sat up with the same sleepy eyes, covering the covers that had nearly slipped off her chest, and poked her head out of the window with a few strands of hair sticking up.
"Honey, what's wrong ...."
"It's nothing, go to sleep."
Eleazar, who handled the scene, jumped in through the window.
Luna wrapped her arms around the lanky body obsessively and rubbed it with immense satisfaction before she caught an unobtrusive glimpse of the bedside clock.
"Oooh, it's this time of night, can't go back to sleep..."
Must hurry back before the servants at home woke up to work, or else he sneaked out of the secret meeting thing was discovered certainly no good fruit to eat again.
Eleazar glanced at the time as well, then stroked her head favorably.
"Isn't there a while left?"
"I can't, I'll oversleep~"
"So I'll take you back now?"
"Oooh, but I don't want to leave so soon~"
"A little more sleep then?"
"Oooh, no way~"
Eleazar narrowed his eyes and rolled her over in a straight-up roll to press her legs together.
Hearing another hum of movement from the house next to him, Shua lowered the curtains with a grimace.
...
...
The next morning, near the break of dawn, the priest and Witcher traveled together to go to church to pray.
"We've established one thing now."
Xiuya said lightly, "The Shadow Council targeting you like this is no longer something as simple as hatred, they don't actually have to go through that much effort if they want you to die, but after my observation during this period I found out that they never use those taboo level big killing weapons, but instead, every time, they try to find ways to take you away, or maybe it's because there's something on your body that they don't care what it takes to of wanting to take it back."
Listening to the analysis beside him, Eleazar said nothing.
Shuya craned his head to look at Witcher, who was not showing any sign at all beside him, and so he added silently:
"Although you have silenced your enemies every time, have you ever thought that as long as you let the other party escape once, that little girlfriend of yours, and all the people you know around you, all of them will come to disaster!"
"The Council has never been one to talk to you about means to accomplish its ends..."
Eleazar whipped his head around, "What do you guys do for food?"
Shuya took a deep breath at once, "Your Highness Qishi and I, we can't be free to keep an eye on you at all times, especially that Dragonborn, you were the one who decided to awaken the other, and you're still lingering all day long during this sensitive period, so if something does end up going wrong, whose fault do you think it is?"
Eleazar was silent for a moment.
"We took a little something when we escaped the farm, but I don't think it's enough for them to have a death grip on me for the real reason I don't know..."
"Let me see!"
Shua stared at once.
It's finally confirmed, and it's true, there's something in Witcher's legacy that the Shadow Council won't let go of!
Eleazar averted his gaze, "I've checked it many times and am pretty sure there's nothing that would make you big organizations miss it, it's all just fodder..."
Shua only had to patiently persuade, "There are some things whose real use and special effects you may not be too familiar with, like that bottle of <Scales of Quicksand> last time, I heard Qishi say that you've been calling it the <Sand of Time>, my god, something that was passed down from the old world side, you guys don't have a bit of inheritance at all!"
"Just let me look at it, and don't worry, I won't touch anything of yours."
...
The magnificent Raphael Cathedral, the Archbishop dropping his calm eyes.
"So, you saw the Witcher's legacy?"
"Yes..."
Slightly flexing, Shua quickly reported, "It was a laboratory that took my breath away, it contained a complete set of material from their five major rituals, and leaking just one of them would drive those transcendentalists out there crazy."
The Archbishop's tone didn't rise or fall, "See any coordinates or anything like that?"
"It's weird, no..."
Shua contemplated his face, "Could it be that these assassinations were, in fact, just the private actions of one of the councilors? Just to get back that mythological material?"
The Archbishop mused thoughtfully as well, "What are you going to do to discontinue those constant streams of assassinations?"
Shua casually replied, "Just have him change places, go on a long-term mission, just give outsiders the illusion that he left that area..."
"Thanks to that titanic body, the council had a hard time targeting him with spells and various divination, and those people would have been hiding in the ravines of the tundra if the vision of this magic potion ceremony hadn't exposed the location."
