Chapter 235 - The Binding that Dies Forever

"You've been out there for 10 days and this is all you've found?"

Qishi flipped idly through the invitation.

Fintan glanced back at the Witcher, who had his back against the wall and was drinking with his head tilted back, and replied helplessly:

"Yes, I went through the entire town's buildings, a total of 1,067 households, and ended up only finding this thing that resembled an evil faith organization in the home of the man named Jim, who was also a high-level contaminant, completely different from the others."

"We have every reason to believe that he carried the contamination back from somewhere else and infected the rest of the townspeople."

Qishi listened to the debriefing and flipped open the invitation again to look inside.

"Green Vine Manor..."

Fintan continued somewhat sheepishly, "We tried to find that place for two days, but we didn't have a clue."

Qishi didn't look deeper, or maybe she understood a little something in her mind but didn't say anything.

"Alright, we'll let you know when we check this place out."

Looking at the backs of those two people leaving, she slowly closed the Abyssal Invitation, her face full of thought.

"The Faceless One..."

...

Managed to hide a holy crystal that was only half used.

Back outside in the hallway, it wasn't until well after the walk that Fintan said with sudden dark hatred, "You're making me cheat again!"

Eleazar looked at him strangely, "No, right?"

"We did look all over the town, ah, and we did go looking for that 'Green Vine Manor', we were just too tired to rest for a few days on the way."

"Besides, Her Highness the Holy Maiden didn't ask, it's just a matter of not taking the initiative to explain..."

Witcher cocked his head, "How can you call it cheating~"

Fintan sulked and said in a single word, "YOU TAKE ME TO GAMBLING!!!"

"Hey, hey, it's too late for you to regret it now, but you took half of it too, where's your conscience?"

Thinking back to the thick pile of bills, Fintan darkened his face.

"If I had known those fights were gambling, I never would have participated!"

"Oh, I know."

Eleazar reaches into his pocket and removes a stack of bills, counting seven or eight more out.

"Take it and buy two dresses for Finnian's classmates."

"Explain yourself to me, don't keep making me take the fall for you for unknown reasons!"

Fintan slaps his hand away angrily.

Eleazar inclined his head, putting the seven or eight hundred into his pocket before folding up the pile of bills and tucking them into the front pocket of the knight's chest, straightening his collar again before speaking faintly:

"This is a fight between me and that woman, you stay out of it."

Fintan froze for a moment and rushed to catch up.

"Why do you want to cross Her Highness the Virgin?"

"Nothing, just looking at her."

"Crazy, you can't fight them!"

"Why don't you mind your brother instead of me?"

Eleazar glanced down.

Downstairs in the building, Finnian's classmates stood in front of a girl.

Fintan quickly poked his head out to take a closer look and withdrew his gaze without a second thought.

"That man was looking for you."

"Are you avoiding people, she's come to us a couple of times to ask about you."

Eleazar looked at that back and was silent for a moment.

If there was anyone who would be saddened by Fina's departure besides him, it would be, without exception, the friend she had once been inseparable with.

Coming downstairs, Eleazar walked slowly behind the two men.

Finnian's classmates, who had been stammering, hastened to say as if saved, "Here, here he is!"

Eleazar stopped dead in his tracks, "You wanted to see me?"

Lingyin quickly turned around and looked at him with somewhat reddened eyes.

"I've been to Crowtown, the place is destroyed..."

"Well, that was a sorry disaster."

Looking at the man with a calm face, Lingyin clenched her hands.

"But how come it's Fina who's in trouble and you're standing here fine..."

"Can't even protect his own woman!"

"Waste..."

Lingyin gave him a hateful look and bumped away from him in stride.

Eleazar drops his gaze pulls out his silver flask and takes a slow gulp.

The two brothers next to him, who didn't dare to make a sound in the atmosphere, then felt that the silence was a bit scary, and hastened to find a topic to chat about with each other.

"Brother, did the mission go well?"

"It went very well, and made an unexpected small fortune."

"Really, can you buy me some lab equipment then?"

"Uh-huh, let's go then!"

Fintan greeted Witcher with a face full of embarrassment, "We'll go first ha!"

"Whew~"

After a long time, Eleazar exhaled a stuffy breath and walked towards the classroom with a calm face.

...

Waiting for news for the past two days, incidentally, to complete the spring exams.

Nana's fake death disconnects his friends from different worlds with a single slash, but he doesn't have it so easily.

Only to go back to history class for a few days, and on this day he was caught by Luna-senpai again.

"Where have you been the last few days again?"

"Went on a little errand."

Luna thought back to his figure that appeared twice like a heavenly god descending from the earth, and pursued her question with a slightly reddened face:

"Is it out on a mission?"

"Well, pretty much."

"Is it dangerous?"

Eleazar turned his head and glanced at her, "Dangerous for you."

"Che, everyone has two arms and two legs, you're not just a bit stronger and faster..."

Eleazar suddenly pushed her away.

"Bang--"

A shot rang out in the distance in front of him, and he sniffed as he was knocked off his feet by the tremendous impact.

Luna, who had staggered against a large tree, watched in disbelief as he flew out backward, her pupils momentarily erecting for a moment.

In mid-air, Eleazar regained his balance with a backflip, his body skidding backward some more before stopping his charge, then slowly raised his head and felt a dented slug from his chest.

"The precision and strength are enough, but the attack is still so far off."

Luna stumbled toward him, crying.

But Eleazar followed suit and tossed her toward the knight who poked his head out upstairs to watch.

"Watch her!!!"

After saying that, the remnants of Witcher left in place slowly disappeared.

At a speed that broke through the human retina's ability to capture observation, that two-thousand-meter window widened into view in a few breaths.

The smoking barrel of the gun was still resting on the window, but the men inside were all under control.

The three killers dressed in repairman's clothes were dangling from the ceiling by countless threads of light, their faces filled with unbelievable horror.

It was a mysterious power that they could not understand at all.

Qishi fades back, "You're so popular."

"Go see if there are any funeral home vehicles down the street, that should be their follow-up."

Are you going to just snipe me to death from a distance and then steal my body?

Eleazar silently jumped from the window again.

Standing in the street, he glanced from side to side, and immediately afterward made his way to the funeral car that was already standing by the curb, pulled open the door, and sat in the back.

"Depart!"

Inside the car, several masked men turned their heads to look at him.
