Chapter 171 -  Destiny Technique: Oblivion

The harvest from this commission was staggering, an entire plantation of herbs was enough to sustain him through that torturous growth period.

Future battles won't have to be so hard.

After all, it's their tradition to drink medicine while fighting.

It was true that some monsters were difficult to deal with, but if he couldn't fight them, he couldn't wear them out.

Witcher may not be the most offensive, but it's certainly the most durable.

Fina asked curiously, "How could that druid be so generous and look like he ended up running away."

"He didn't run away..."

Eleazar silently recalled the contents of the letter.

"It seems like he accomplished some kind of goal, and he's gone to Reno to succeed himself."

Evelea's eyes widened at once, "Wow, this Nature Cult, how dare it plot politics in the Holy Light Kingdom?"

"Well, it's quite ambitious, it's the means that are hard to describe."

Eleazar puts away the potions and arranges the ground herb powders into categories.

"He knew as soon as the mayor was infected by the plague, but he didn't stop anything, only subtly told me that he was afraid that I would go over there too soon and stop the mayor from mutating, and that I would find out too late and cause the holy light to come down."

"Who poisoned the mayor?" Fina was a little curious.

Eleazar was silent for a moment, "Presumably the old guard, led by the Viscount, Mayor Dolenk was far too ambitious and bent on growing the town, and thus angered many already entrenched interests as well, and one of the industrial equipment he strongly recommended, which was actually a product of the steam route, was so powerful and had even more staggering emissions, that the Environmental Protection Committee became furious and simultaneously offended people on both sides of the aisle, and as a result had to go to his death."

The two women were silent as they listened to the aftermath of the incident.

"Go."

Setting up the material Eleazar turned around, "Come on, we're going up."

"By the way, are you ready for your fate divination?"

"▓▓amp;* ?▓▓∞▓▓..."

Evelea on the steps seemed to say something, but he suddenly couldn't hear anything.

"Wow~"

Waves churning in your ears, fog in front of your eyes, and your feet slowly covered with seawater...

On the steps, the two women walked for a moment, then suddenly turned back to Witcher, who hung his head motionless below.

He was densely climbed with black magic spells.

Suddenly, the text twisted and wriggled, and uncountable ghastly white eyeballs opened with unparalleled evil sights turned toward them.

The two men screamed at once and stumbled out of the lab, covering their heads and slamming the door behind them.

Fina asked, gasping for breath as she covered her head, which was in severe pain:

"Why is that, didn't they say that the Empty Island Magic Potion had isolated his mental contamination?"

The witch thought hard for a moment, and suddenly her face was horrified.

"I see, it's a magic spell, so it's the entire cursed pathway that's been contaminated by Him, no wonder my Sleeping Spell goes out of control so often!"

"So what now?"

The two men looked at each other with complicated expressions.

"That ritual of yours worked pretty well last time, can you set it up again?"

Fina deadpans her thumb, "There's no way the diversion ritual could fool the Apostle a second time..."

After a long silence, the witch nodded.

"Then let me do it this time..."

When she finished, she opened the lab door and finally turned her head.

"Let's help him complete the Titan Ritual as soon as possible..."

Fina stood transfixed outside the door, waiting for a long time, her eyes becoming uncontrollably vacant for a brief moment.

"Love, blushing, sometimes chooses to run away."

In the lab, the witch hugged the evil body with immense affection.

"Mr. Prince, let's play a game ..."

With all the evil in him, she slowly disappeared.

...

...

After a long time, Eleazar in the lab woke up ghostly.

Looking at the familiar ceiling, he sat up from the swift floor and covered his head as he looked around.

"I'm... Fell asleep?"

It was as if he had just awakened from taking a magic potion, and his memory was a bit disjointed.

After a moment of bitter thought, he patted the dust and stood up, returning to the ground.

Fina sits in her desk, propping her head up, wondering what she's thinking.

Hearing footsteps coming up behind her, she looked back in surprise.

"Are you guys done, do you feel sick anywhere!"

Eleazar looked at her strangely, "Did something happen? I'm fine..."

Fina looked at him hesitantly for a long moment, then stood up.

"Okay, dinner then..."

She put on her apron and walked into the kitchen.

Eleazar takes a seat at the dining table and looks around, his eyes a little lost in thought.

After a long time, Fina came out with her lunch and seeing his disoriented look, she asked softly, "What are you thinking about?"

"I always feel as if I'm forgetting something..."

Eleazar covers his head for a moment and shakes it off.

"Forget it, don't think about it, let's eat."

Fina just had to set the cutlery down silently, "Go get that guy up here."

"Who?"

Fina fixed her feet, turned slowly, gazed at him silently for a long time, and with some hesitation uttered the name of a person.

"Evelea..."

"Evelea?"

Eleazar looked up, his eyes full of doubt.

"Who is she?"

"Nothing... Nothing?" Fina covered her mouth, looking slightly alarmed, and quickly turned to walk into the kitchen.

....

After lunch, Fina washed the dishes silently in the kitchen.

I don't know what kind of tactics that witch is using, and I don't know if I should intervene.

"First... Let's see?"

Fina's tone was full of hesitation and faltering, then peeked down the hall at the man who was struggling with his thoughts.

With that, she silently contemplated her last conversation with the man.

"Cursed Pathways, Demonic Spells, Sequential Contamination, Titanic Rituals..."

"Whether it's to finish digesting this magic potion of the Cursed Pathway or to complete the Titan Ritual, why don't you make it clearer before you leave..."

Worried that his mental contamination would recur again, and fearful that the Witch's achievements would be undone, she could only keep it all silently hidden in her heart.

Having finished her chores, Fina silently found the newspaper of the last period and sat down beside him, talking to him in a gentle and delicate manner while looking through the reports in the paper in an attempt to discover some trace of the transcendental event.

With the Witch gone, and without the help of the man's divination skills, this was now all that could be done to help him in his quest to find the dark creatures.

"By the way, solitaire..."

Fina suddenly realized that even though she was just getting started in Divination, she should be able to be of some use, right?

"It should... It'll be of some use..."

Saying yes, she was ready to go to the grocery store on the neighboring street to buy paper plates.

"I'm going shopping!"

Fina walked out of the store, and suddenly looked back worriedly to find the lone back figure sitting in a chair in the glass window, meditating hard.

The scene in the crystal ball appeared, and he became terminally distracted, seeming to forget something but never being able to recall it.
