Chapter 99 - Assassination

Students in classrooms struggle to write during the quarterly exams at St. Inge's College.

Eleazar, who had written his answers long ago, twirled the tip of his pen in boredom.

The exam was not at all difficult at all.

Did not immediately go up to hand in the paper to make a splash, but instead waited for several plucks of people to go up and finish pretending, before he slowly got up to hand in the paper, hiding his work and name in the deep.

Walking out of the school building, Eleazar stretches.

Three days had passed since the magic potion was taken, and the weird snowy day had cleared up long ago.

It's Friday, another two days off after exams.

"Fina took seven days off to go back home..."

Eleazar silently thought about what he had heard from Lingyin.

I don't know what happened to her family, but she went away in silence a few days ago and just came back this Sunday.

"Tomorrow I'll go clothes shopping with Witch, and the day after that I'll pick up Fina from the station..."

Arranging his schedule for tomorrow and the next two days, Eleazar sighed again.

Time is so hard to manage, and one has to find time to look for dark creatures in this land of holy light.

According to the results of the witch's divination, he wouldn't be interfered by the Evil God again even this year, and the 3rd order mind pathway magic potion was incomparably powerful, and he didn't know how long it had helped him buy time.

But if he didn't work hard to get promoted, sooner or later he would still be dead.

The one of his that dispels all bad effects, the equivalent of which is to reshape body and soul, is still missing: quicksand, curse, flame, atmosphere, and four magic potions...

And now the residue of this magic potion is: 1000/1000

Eleazar was going mad, how many dark creatures did he have to kill to digest the residue of this horrible magic potion.

The time of leisure was completely gone, he was now going to take the initiative, and the full force kind at that.

Starting right now!

So Eleazar stepped out alone and took a careful look around the school district.

...

After dark, he returned to school completely dead.

Desperate cursed people like the Hawksbane are ultimately in the minority.

Damn it, the holy light is so strong, there's not a hint of darkness in the whole school district.

The next day...

To the time that belongs to the witch.

Not daring to wait at the school gates and wondering when he had been known by so many people, Eleazar went to the open air coffee shop across the street from the school to stop the rumors from starting up again.

Holding his arms for a moment, he waited, silently pondering.

If only that guy could help himself digest the magic potion...

Combined with the Undying Rebirth trait, he could just take off.

But unfortunately, only after the first hot hand slaughtered her, there was not even the intention to kill her later.

That's why they can be so ridiculous together, I guess...

After ferrying back and forth a few steps, Eleazar, who had put away his pocket watch for the third time, finally saw the guy coming through the school gates.

With a low double ponytail tied with red satin silk, hanging down from both shoulders, a sleeveless knitted undershirt on top, a long-sleeved white shirt inside, and a black pleated skirt underneath, still knee-length black silk, leaving a small section of snow-white absolute field, flush diagonal bangs blocking one eye, and the corners of the mouth slightly raised, a smile on the absolute beauty of the face.

Her temperament today looked quiet as all get out, like the big sister next door.

The gazes of those at the school entrance were instantly drawn to this strange goddess.

But luckily, her scarlet eyes, which were unique to the entire school, were quickly recognized, and I don't know how many people were dissuaded from going up to her and striking up a conversation.

Honestly, if Evelea hadn't created a dozen or so miserable bald men in this department, there's no telling how many people would be dying to come up and pursue her in this form.

She stood very ladylike under the school door looking left and right for a moment before fate guided her to spot Eleazar across the road.

"Hiding so far away."

Evelea muttered something disgruntled in her mind, but kept a smile on her face.

Eleazar watched as the quiet figure slowly approached.

"What tricks are you planning to play today?"

"Bugger, that's actually someone's true character~"

At that moment, a cold wind blew and she couldn't help but hug her arms.

Eleazar sighed helplessly, "Aren't you cold?"

He remembered that the guy didn't have a single bit of frost resistance.

Evelea smiled sweetly, "Kind of~"

Eleazar inexorably removed the jacket he had used for his disguise and draped it over her.

"It's still a little cold~"

She pouted as she hugged the dress that didn't have much body heat on it at all.

Eleazar glanced at her, "Want me to pull my pants down for you?"

"Yeah!"

Hearing their conversation, two nearby tables cast odd glances.

Sure enough, it didn't take more than a few moments to reveal its nature.

Eleazar knocked her on the head.

"Shut up!"

"Woo~"

Evelea looked resigned and held her head.

"You can't ruin my persona today!"

"Heh!"

Eleazar gave her a sunny smile and glanced at her, taking her hand and walking towards the station.

"I'll see how long you can pretend."

She snuggled over with a happy face.

"Nah nah nah, you know how people survive in the wilderness to keep warm?"

"Fireball magic?"

"Oops, I was talking about regular people."

Eleazar replied casually with a few tools.

"Flint, lighter, matches..."

"What if they don't have any tools?"

"Hmm... Drilling for fire?"

Evelea smiled brightly, stood on her tiptoes, and leaned in close to whisper in his ear, "I want you to drill on me right now~"

Eleazar blacked out, "Hey! You lost your persona!"

She raised her head with a light smile, as if she wanted to say something, but pain surfaced in her eyes, and her body slowly leaned forward, as if her back was being pushed by something.

"Pfft!" A narrow metal slug, lightning-like, parted her flesh and blood to drill through her chest and disappear ahead.

The flower of blood that was brought out blossomed as brightly as a rose, and she solidified the sweet look on her face, slowly extinguishing her vitality.

The alarming gunshot, which came from the distance.

"Bang--"

Eleazar's pupils shrank as he subconsciously hugged the directly dead witch.

Pedestrians screamed in the street as two frightened cars crashed together.

His face was expressionless as he slowly turned to look.

A slowly retracting gun barrel was seen in a fifth-floor window of a building more than a thousand meters away.

Eleazar lowers his head and walks slowly into the alleyway, holding the body.

After waiting quietly for a moment, the exasperated witch burst out of it.

"Who is it!!!" Eleazar looked at the slowly dissipating body in his hands and said silently, "Why don't you go change into your costume and I'll take care of the assassin."

Evelea ground her silver teeth for a moment, stomped her foot, and turned away in hatred.

Eleazar slowly puts his jacket back on, dropping his eyes, and casually pushes open the door to one of the rooms in the alleyway, retracing his steps from the doorway of a diner amidst that backroom full of astonished eyes.

No matter who he is or what his agenda is, he's definitely dead...

Coming to the bottom of the old seven-story apartment building, Eleazar looked up with an indifferent gaze.

The smoky odor of gunpowder was as conspicuous as a smoke bomb in the transcendental vision.

Quietly, he walked in, but his footsteps inadvertently tore a thin, transparent thread.

"Ab-"

Several crossbow arrows swept in like dark shadows, and Eleazar raised his hand to block one, then sidestepped the rest of the attack.

"Traps? Poison?"

"Hunter? Assassin?"

Eleazar coldly pulls out the crossbow arrow that was not in his arm.

Ridiculous ebony poisoning...
