"How about you... Are you going?"
Sia, who had originally spoken with a big smile, looked inexplicably nervous.
Eleazar nodded indifferently, "Yeah."
It just so happens that I haven't bought Fina a gift myself.
It was a relief for everyone to realize that he was in fact doing what he normally did.
Eleazar then realized that everyone looked a bit restrained and asked curiously, "What's wrong with you guys?"
"Well, nothing..."
"It's supposed to be an illusion, right?"
"It just feels like you're a different person with an icy temperament."
Listening to the chatter, Eleazar pondered.
It would be the magic potion...
As the magic potion was nearly half digested, the icy cold power had radiated throughout his body, causing his aura to change.
Eleazar laughed and hammered Sia's shoulder, "Let's not pursue this any further, let's go."
That gentle smile of his actually gave everyone a stunning feeling like ice melting away.
"My God!"
"Fine, fine, let's go, please stop smiling at us!"
Eleazar: "..."
They jostled and walked out the door.
"How about we go over to Harbor Street, they say it's very busy, let's check it out!"
"I'm all for it."
"Then depart!"
"GOGOGO!"
A ten-minute ride followed, and the five arrived at the unusually busy Harbor Street.
Here seagulls singing, flocks of flying, the unique salty smell of the sea, the shore is full of ships, sailors stand in the bow of the ship shouting, near the side of the road lined up with mobile stores, every open space has people set up stalls, it looks cluttered and messy, but also a different kind of lively.
"Hey, you guys watch your wallets."
Sipper reminded everyone in a hurry.
Eleazar narrowed his eyes at the coastal street that sprawled all the way to the end of his vision.
It's really lively here.
Almost anything is for sale.
Seafood, either air-dried or fresh, all sorts of handicrafts, souvenirs, even fresh fruits and vegetables from inland farms, and as they went deeper they even saw a blacksmith's store hammering away at a branding iron in full swing.
Sia's eyes suddenly widened, "There's something fun over here, come on!"
He quickly ran ahead of everyone, looking back every now and then with a hyped up look in his eyes.
Ciper was helpless, "Don't you run so fast."
Climbing onto the deck of the bustling merchant ship, they realized what Sia had said about fun.
"Just salvaged the Defia treasure, there is no one who knows how to look at it ah."
"Come on, come on, money for money now!"
"Scare Boxes, 10 bucks a pop!"
"Tearfully dumping heirlooms, come on if you know what you're doing!"
This kind of entertaining stalls are obviously more attractive to visitors.
Well... Even if they are cheated, most people don't really care as long as they don't go too far and are having fun.
Sia had crouched down in front of one of the stalls and they padded over to have a look.
"Scare boxes, 10 bucks to open one, I'll pay double if you don't get scared!"
The owner, who wore a black turbaned bag, introduced them with a smile.
A dozen black gift boxes of various sizes lay in the booth in front of him.
"That easy?" Vesey was a little incredulous.
The owner smiled slightly, "Yes, it's as simple as that."
"I'll do it then!" Vesey immediately rolled up his sleeves.
"Let's show you what a king of guts is!"
After accepting the 10 bucks, the owner smiled wryly and reached out.
"Please pick."
Vesey looked carefully, then chose the smallest one.
"Let's see me make my 10 bucks back!"
"Stop it, just open it."
Everyone was more curious about what was inside than the ten dollar bet.
Vesey fumbled with this scare box opening method, and after realizing it was a pull-out type, he simply pinched the lid to open it.
A bloodstained severed finger emerged haughtily from the bottom of the fist-sized box.
"Ah!" Sipper and the others were taken aback on the spot.
Vesey's face went white for a split second as well, but quickly regained her composure.
"That's it? It's a very realistic prop."
The owner slowly raised his head and smiled cruelly, "I'm sorry to say that this isn't a prop, it was just cut off from out gambler's hand this morning."
Vesey shook his body at once, his hands shaking a little.
And at that moment, the severed finger suddenly flexed and popped up like a prawn, almost to his face.
"Whoa!"
Vesey was so scared on the spot that he just threw the box out.
"Hahaha, the shock is over!"
The owner smiled with satisfaction and got up to retrieve the box and props.
Vesey, who had returned to his senses, was instantly furious.
"You're cheating!"
"No no no, that's the open box process, if you're not happy about losing, you can play again."
"You wait!"
"Forget it..." Sipper and the others rushed forward to persuade each other.
"It must be full of these sudden pop-up organs."
"Yeah, just about anyone in their right mind would have an emergency response, how do you fight your instincts."
Vessey finally regained his composure.
That's when Eleazar stepped up and paid 10 bucks.
Everyone: "????"
"Mr. Xiao, what are you doing!"
Sia was all but shocked into calling out the nicknames.
Eleazar faintly kicks the biggest box in the stall.
"It's not going to be filled with heads, is it?"
The boss hemmed and hawed, "Don't quite remember, I think it was loaded with something like this in it, but I forget which box it was, do you want to open it?"
"Okay, that's it."
Sipper and the others stood behind him in hindsight, "You be careful."
Eleazar lifted the box with a grimace.
A slime-covered... Egg?
It's not scary at all anyway.
Everyone looked quizzically at the owner, who was scratching his head in equal confusion.
"Huh, what is this thing, did I ever put it in?"
Vesey instantly said indignantly, "Don't believe him, something's bound to fly out later..."
Before the words were out of his mouth, the top of the egg suddenly parted like a petal, and one of the squirming creatures inside lurched out and clutched Eleazar directly in the face.
"Ah..."
Several of the Sippers were instantly shocked and screamed, falling back on their asses.
"Ahahahaha..."
Just as the boss was getting his kicks, Eleazar turned around faintly, wearing the face-hugging bug urn, and said, "Pay up!"
"You're..."
The smile on the boss's face froze.
Eleazar rips off the slimy, fake bug in slow lisps, looking indifferent.
"What, can't afford to lose?"
The owner was extremely reluctant to cough up 20 bucks.
"If you're that good, you have the balls to open all the boxes I have here."
Eleazar, who was about to leave with his little friends who were rejoicing like they were winning, stopped and slowly turned around.
Looks like there's a lesson to be learned for this boss.
