There was some silence on the second floor.
Hurriedly walking up the stairs Sreng glanced at the broken stools and chairs on the floor and scanned the table next to him.
Eleazar stood in front of the window, looking out at the bottom, and turned back slightly when he heard footsteps coming from behind him.
"Did you ask?"
Slenger's face was a little embarrassed then.
"That, Mr. Hedgehog..."
Hedgehogs?
That druid gave me a nickname?
Eleazar's face looks slightly odd.
It was a bit unpleasant to hear, but now was not the time to dwell on it, and he quickly got to the point.
"Mr. Slenger, I don't know if you're aware that you're in a crisis right now..."
Monopoly's reply was calm, "I know."
"Pfft..."
A low snort came from the side.
Eleazar turned his head to look at the group.
He quickly understood the reason why Mr. Rich was so calm.
No one believes the wolf when it's told only three times, whereas if it's told a dozen times, it's likely to fall on deaf ears for those who hear it.
After a moment's thought, Eleazar nods.
"Let's do that for the night, then."
"Do we need to do anything to prepare?" Sreng asked again.
"Rituals, charms, essential oils, or gold or silver or something?"
Looks like Mr. Regal got tossed by the gang.
Eleazar shook his head, "Nothing."
When the owner of the mansion left, he slowly turned his eyes to the crooks who were feasting over there.
I hope these guys know better and get the hell out of here after the feast.
Eleazar is overly concerned, as the group is already terrified by last night's corpse-baby and doesn't need him to do anything to repel them.
When they had eaten and drunk enough, they found reasons to leave one after another.
These people only intended to cheat some money, how could they have any real ability to exorcise demons?
Slengar tried desperately to retain that master pyromancer.
But the man had already used up the sulfur in one go, so how could he dare to agree to that, and assure him desperately that the evil spirits had already been destroyed, and then retreated at a rapid pace?
The servants were whispering, "Pity, I was quite enjoying his fireworks display."
In the end, the only person left in the mansion was a mysterious man shrouded in black robes, who was not talkative and didn't go around showing magic like the masters before him.
Noon, evening, and time soon came again tonight.
The mansion was a bit gutted.
Although those masters said that the evil spirits had been dispersed, the silent and mysterious man in the house always made everyone feel as if the incident had not been solved again.
It was late into the night before people went to bed a little apprehensive.
Sreng, who was also ready to rest, questioned the steward with some confusion.
"What about that Mr. Hedgehog?"
After all, it was the master introduced by the Environmental Protection Committee, not to mention how good his skills were, but just that relationship made them have to take it seriously.
The housekeeper bowed his head and reported, "I haven't seen it since the evening, and it wasn't there when I went to the guest room just now."
"Did you leave a message?"
"No."
Slengerton got a bit of a headache, "Forget it, leave him alone, Brown you go rest too."
"Yes, Master, I'll still sleep next door tonight, if you need me."
With the lights out, neither of them saw a man standing in the shadows of the room.
Listening to the steady breathing coming from his side, Eleazar stepped silently out of the shadows and to the window.
Outside, the moonlight was bright and a full moon hung high in the sky.
It's still a full moon tonight.
That means it will still be active tonight.
Suddenly, Eleazar tilts his head back lightning fast and looks to the ceiling.
appeared, and it coalesced into form upstairs!
The obsession thing is really in this mansion.
He'd turned around during the day and couldn't find it in any way, and now he could finally pinpoint the direction.
Now, it's just a matter of getting the immediate crisis out of the way, and then we can go find that thing.
Soon Mr. Rich was awakened by the sound of crawling coming from all around the house.
"Da da da da da da..."
Like the sound of some kind of small animal, crawling quickly across the boards.
But everyone in this mansion knows it's that horrible baby.
Snapping out of bed, Slenger sat up, his face horrified, and tried to get ready to yell.
A silent hand came from behind him and covered his mouth with one.
Mr. Regal was so shocked that his body shook so violently that his heart almost went into arrest.
"Calm down."
A somewhat familiar voice came from behind him.
Sreng shuddered and looked back, only to realize it was Mr. Hedgehog, who had disappeared into thin air during the night.
"You're finally here, hurry... Hurry up and exorcise that monster!"
"Take it easy, I'm on it."
Sreng settled down a little, but soon realized something was wrong.
"You, why are you hiding behind me!?"
"Mr. Slenger, I'm sure you should have noticed that this thing can't be killed, and no matter how many times it's exorcised, it still shows up at night..."
"You... What the hell are you trying to say?"
Eleazar lowered his gaze and trailed off:
"Do you want to eradicate it once and for all, or do you plan to be harassed by it every other day?"
"Of course, it's a one-time eradication, just tell me what you want, and I'll give you any amount of money you want!"
"It's not a matter of money, it's a matter of your cooperation."
Slengerton looked around in some alarm.
"I... Me? Can't someone else, I can put the butler at your disposal."
Eleazar pressed hard on Mr. Rich, who was trying to escape, and said in a deep voice, "No, this is something only you can do."
"Don't worry, just follow my lead, it's easy."
Not giving him a chance to refuse, the terror soon arrived at the door.
The two men in the room held their breath.
"Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz~"
The door to the room was pushed open a crack, and a tiny head poked in, looking from side to side for a moment, and then slowly lifting, those completely dark eyes, staring blankly at the two men by the bedside.
A chill rose, and Sreng, so frightened that he could barely stand, asked through chattering teeth:
"Now now now... What to do now!"
"Walk over and pick it up."
"What!"
Slengar was so shaken that he almost suspected his ears were hallucinating.
Eleazar lifted his hands and pushed him out with one hand.
"Go pick it up."
Caught off guard and pushed into the middle of the three, Slenger glanced back in despair, his legs shaking like a pendulum.
Eleazar is still hyperventilating.
"Come on, pick it up!"
Slenger slowly turned his head back like a stiff mannequin.
The baby in front of him was only as small as a puppy in size, but the terror it brought was as terrifying as a giant beast.
He closed his eyes in death, loomed and trembled, and held out his hands, then went completely rigid and motionless.
"I... I can't do it!"
The air in the room froze more and more, and the corpse baby in the doorway raised its tiny head.
Eleazar said coldly, "Come on, pick up your daughter!"
