The surgery lasted for a long time, much longer than anyone had expected. Dan wanted to persuade Master Li to take a break and let him stay there instead. However, Dray showed no intention of leaving and his face grew increasingly grim. He remained outside the door, waiting for the result of Sky's surgery.
After Dan took a phone call and looked troubled, he said to Master Li, "Lary just called and said Miss Kin went to the company to find you. When she couldn't find you, she cried and begged Lary to pass on a message to you. She said she knows she was wrong and asks for your forgiveness. Miss Kin says she won't do it again and begs you to answer her call."

"Ahem." Cory coughed lightly. "The surgery was more difficult than I anticipated. Your husband had several external injuries, but fortunately all the glass fragments have been removed. The only deeper wounds are on his forehead and neck, which could scar if not properly cared for."
