Chapter 50 - CHAPTER 50:BEING POSSESSIVE

"I... cough... I didn't..." Sky's throat choked, feeling breathless.

He coughed a few times, his innocent little face turning red.

"It's... it's about the incident in the alley behind Beijing university that day. The police notified me that the suspect may be related to my relatives. Mr. Xia happened to accompany me to the police station. He pitied me and was worried that those relatives would harm my mother, so he helped me with the transfer procedures..."

He explained to Dray with effort, facing his gloomy and suspicious gaze.

Dray's dark eyebrows furrowed slightly when he heard that Eli had arranged the transfer for Sky's mother, which was related to the incident at Beijing university that night.

"Just because of this?"

He raised his eyebrows slightly, and a hint of scrutiny flashed in his cold eyes.

Obviously, he didn't completely believe Sky's explanation.

After all, it was such a good opportunity.

He didn't believe that a man like Sky would miss the chance to gain sympathy in front of his grandfather.

What if his grandfather really paid and worked hard to arrange everything for his mother?

Sky might take advantage of his courage and betray their cooperation.

"Yes... yes, just because of this."

Sky finally caught his breath after a long while.

He lifted his watery eyes and stared into Dray's deep and unfathomable eyes, explaining, "Mr. Xia just happened to see me waiting for the bus at the hospital entrance, so he gave me a ride. He heard my aunt threatening me at the police station, so he helped me."

"Master Li, I know I've taken your money, and I know I owe Uncle Xander a lot. I have no right to ask for anything else... Whether you believe it or not, I'm not so shameless as to beg Uncle Xander to arrange surgery for my mother."

Even when things were at their worst, he never thought of begging Uncle Xander.

He knew that once he went to him, the kind-hearted old man would help him without asking for anything in return. But then, he would never be able to repay his debt to him.

"I'm glad you still have some sense," Dray said, pinching his chin and scrutinizing him for a few seconds. "Remember, in my grandfather's eyes, you are my husband. If he ever suspects anything between us, no matter what your reasons are, you and your mother will never be able to live in Beijing again."

"I...I understand..." Sky bit his slightly trembling lip and nodded.

Dray's eyes darkened a few shades as he saw the small man's reddened eyes and the faint pink of his lips.

His slender fingers forcefully pried open his tightly clenched teeth.

He leaned in, his thin lips pressing against his trembling ones, his voice low.

"So, now you're afraid?"

Sky's nose felt sour, and he couldn't look at him.

Dray, however, forced him to meet his gaze by turning his face towards him.

The man's lips curved into a cold smile, and his icy eyes seemed to hide a deep danger.

"Is that so?" he said.

Sky remained silent.

In that moment, he felt his breath catch in his throat.

Dray's eyes were deep and mysterious, and they seemed to draw him in despite the danger they held.

He looked at his handsome face, which was only inches away from his, and his heart began to race.

"Sky, you're not very smart," Dray said, finally seeming to have had enough of teasing him. His slender fingers lightly stroked his face as he spoke.

"Instead of trying to please Eli, why not just please me? After all, you should know that if you serve me well, you'll get more benefits, right?"

Sky blinked and shuddered slightly, but didn't answer.

Dray looked at his quail-like face, unwilling to speak, and his dark eyes filled with anger.

Then, with a possessive air, the man pressed his thin lips onto Sky's before he could speak.

It was like he was punishing him for being slow.

His sharp lips aggressively bit down on his lip, inch by inch...
