The next day, when Sky woke up, he felt a bit dizzy.
He had stayed up late taking care of Dray last night, and probably didn't get enough rest.
When he checked the time, he realized he was already fifteen minutes later than usual, but luckily Dray should still be exercising and hadn't come down yet.
Sky quickly got ready and headed out of his room, only to see Dray already sitting at the dining table.
He was startled and quickly lowered his head, his slender eyelashes covering his anxious emotions.
Why did Dray come down so early? Did he find out about him going upstairs last night?
With a nervous heart, Sky walked into the dining room.
Even though he was sitting down, Dray's nearly two-meter-tall figure still seemed imposing and tall. His exquisite suit accentuated his cold and stern demeanor, exuding an aura of nobility and indifference.
Hearing his footsteps, Dray looked up and his sharp eyebrows furrowed slightly, his cold eyes darkening imperceptibly.
"Good morning, Mr. Li," Sky obediently greeted him and quickly headed to the kitchen. "I didn't expect you to come down so early today. I'll make breakfast now."
Seeing the black coffee next to Dray, his delicate eyebrows couldn't help but twist slightly.
With a bad stomach, he still drinks black coffee.
As a professional caregiver, Sky almost reminded him of the occupational hazard.
However, Dray lowered his face and glanced at him, his low and cold voice devoid of warmth.
"Living here means following the rules. Sky, I, Dray, never wait for anyone to eat. There shouldn't be a next time for incidents like this morning."
Sky: "..."
If it weren't for taking care of him last night, he wouldn't have stayed in bed.
"I understand, Mr. Li." He replied softly, without any explanation.
Next, Sky quickly prepared breakfast and served it on the table, and then lowered his head to eat his own portion.
However, Dray didn't touch any of the food he made except for a few bites of the high-end salad and toast that the servant brought from the fridge.
The man kept his head down and looked at the financial report on his phone, with a cup of black coffee by his side.
Finally, after finishing the report, Dray got up.
Sky also quickly put down his tableware and followed him out.
In fact, he didn't understand why Dray insisted on having him accompany him for meals, and even required him to be responsible for the two meals a day.
He didn't even eat the food he cooked.
They had nothing to say at the dining table, and they weren't really a couple. Wouldn't it be better to have fewer situations where they sat at the same table to eat like this?
As Dray stood in the hallway changing his shoes, he was about to leave.
Suddenly, he turned his head and his deep black eyes stared at his face. "By the way, if I'm not around, you're not allowed to go to my grandfather's place."
Sky was taken aback. "But Uncle Xander said... he wanted me to visit him whenever I had time. I promised him that I would go this weekend..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Dray's gaze became fierce.
He leaned in, grabbed his chin with an iron grip, and twisted his cheeks, causing him pain.
"Sky, I'm not negotiating with you."
Dray's eyes were filled with disgust.
"Don't expect to get any benefits from my grandfather. Don't think that just because he's old, you can fool him easily."
Yesterday at the nursing home, Dray saw the old man, who was usually stern and impartial, smile for the first time. He thought that the old man just didn't want him to marry the man arranged by the Li family.
But after witnessing Old Master Xander's attitude towards Sky yesterday, Dray realized that the old man really did have high hopes for this man.
Old Master Xander's attitude towards Sky was anything but ordinary.
"I... didn't..." Sky's voice was hoarse and he was in so much pain that he couldn't speak properly, tears just rolling in his eyes.
His pitiful and tearful appearance made people feel sorry for him.
He's really good at acting pitiful!
Dray snorted coldly, his tone menacing. "It's better if you didn't."
After speaking, he mercilessly let go of Sky.
He took out a tissue and wiped his right fingertips that had just touched him, as if touching him even a little was dirty!
Sky was so frightened by Dray's aggressive posture that his legs went weak. As soon as he let go of him, he fell to the ground.
On his pitiful little face were clear and swollen finger marks left by the man.
But Dray didn't even spare a glance for Sky, who had fallen to the ground.
He threw away the tissue, picked up his briefcase from the side, and was about to leave.
Suddenly, the man walking towards the door stopped in his tracks.
"Oh, by the way..."
Dray's low and cold voice sank.
"Did you go upstairs last night?"
