When I finally approached the light, I realized that I was in a completely different place. I was in a world full of color and life. The sky was bright with the sun shining brightly, and colorful flowers were blooming around me.
I felt myself standing in the middle of a vast field, where green grass swayed gently in the cool breeze. Colorful flowers grew luxuriantly among the grass, and a fresh aroma blew into my nose. I felt touched by the beauty of this nature.
Not far from where I stood, I saw a river flowing with clear and tempting water. The river was so beautiful, with the shimmering sunlight reflecting on its surface. I could hear the calming sound of the water and felt tempted to taste its freshness.
But what captivated my attention the most was the towering forest in the distance. Giant trees with lush leaves reached high into the sky. The sunlight playing with the foliage created mysterious shadows underneath. I felt compelled to explore the forest, to uncover the secrets that may be hidden within.
As I started to step closer to the forest, I heard a voice again. The voice came from over there, from behind the giant trees. I continued my steps, filled with curiosity and interest.
And among the dense trees, I found the source of the voice. A girl with flowing blue hair like a river, long enough to touch her shoulders, sat gracefully on a large rock by the slowly flowing river. Her blue hair moved gently with the wind, and her sharp eyes seemed to penetrate deep into my mind.
I looked around, trying to process this situation. How could I suddenly be in a place like this? Everything felt so surreal, the trickster god truly brought me back to life.
"Are you awake?" the girl asked with a warm voice as if greeting an old friend. "Look at my catch, quite a lot, isn't it?"
I turned to the bucket placed beside her. Inside the bucket were several small fish, enough for one or two meals. I evaluated her catch honestly, then nodded in agreement.
"That's pretty good," I replied. "Although I hope there could be more."
The girl's expression changed slightly as if she was disappointed with my response. "I tried my best. But it seems like I wasn't lucky today."
"Did I sleep for a long time?" I asked, standing up and feeling stiff from the long sleep.
The blue-haired girl pondered for a moment before answering, "Hm... I think it was quite a while. You only prepared the fishing gear, and then suddenly fell asleep in this place. It's quite different from the original plan, where I was just supposed to accompany you."
I furrowed my brow, trying to remember what happened before I fell asleep. "What plan are you talking about? I feel like there's something I've forgotten."
The girl smiled gently, her eyes full of understanding. "We planned to catch fish for dinner, and I was going to teach you how. You asked for it, remember?"
I scratched my head, feeling somewhat embarrassed for forgetting about the plan. "I'm sorry, I seem to be tired and confused. Thank you for taking care of me while I was asleep."
The blue-haired girl shook her head while laughing softly, her voice like the calm flow of a peaceful river at night. "It's okay, Jacob. You've done enough lately. Now, let's continue with catching fish. I'll teach you the right way."
I felt relieved hearing her words as if a thread connecting me to the world I used to know had been rediscovered. So, in this world, my name is Jacob, just like my real name.
That night, we sat near the warm fire. The fresh fish we caught together were cooked over the fire, and their fragrant aroma filled the air. The light of the full moon illuminated the surroundings, and everything felt so peaceful and beautiful. The sound of a small river flowing nearby added to the tranquility.
I looked at the blue-haired girl, who was now sitting next to me, her cooked food on a leaf in front of her. I felt that I owed her for all her help so far, but I didn't even know her name yet.
"What is your name?" I asked politely, realizing that I didn't know most things about this mysterious girl.
The girl was surprised by my question, then she put down the piece of fish she was holding back onto the leaf in front of her. She looked at me with a sharp gaze, her expression seemed to say that I should know who she was.
"You don't remember my name?" she asked, her voice sounding a little confused. "Did you forget everything after waking up today?"
I felt a little embarrassed to admit that I had forgotten her name. "It seems so," I replied, scratching my head. "I feel like most of my memories are gone. How could this happen?"
She leaned closer, reaching out her hand and gently touching my temple. Her gaze was deep and thoughtful. "Are you serious?" she asked again as if trying to understand more about what had happened to me.
"I'm serious," I said again, trying to convey how important this situation was to me. "I feel like most of my memories have been erased, and I don't even know how I suddenly ended up here."
She pulled her hand back and sat back next to me, looking deep in thought. "This is very strange," she muttered to herself as if trying to understand the mystery behind my condition. "But I feel like I might be able to help you regain your memories if you're willing."
"I'm willing," I sincerely replied, not wanting to miss this opportunity to rediscover most of my lost past. "What do I have to do? How can I?"
Suddenly, without warning, a hard blow landed on my head. The sudden pain scattered my thoughts, and I held my head in pain.
"Ouch... Why did you hit me?" I protested, feeling annoyed.
She looked angry, her sharp eyes radiating disapproval. "That's what I said earlier, that's how you can regain your memory!" she answered with a slightly angry tone.
But I felt irritated. "But that could make me forget everything forever!" I protested further.
Naida, as I now knew her name, sighed in frustration. "Well, it's up to you then. I'm Naida, the guardian of this forest, remember that in your head," she said firmly, as if trying to force me to remember.
