Reason
Waiting was the reason, so was you

Late!
Will Sutherland book a table as he promised Smith. He is waiting there with his broken heart. Maybe all he would ask for answers. What about the 24 months? What about his continued patience he kept unwillingly? What about his love and-and what even about the feelings he saved? He his holding his hands as the words are hammering his back. Feeling the torture, held it up.
Wait.
Was the word actually worthy to welcome a new path? Or, was it just a swift pace to demolish one bitter wish?
I took the attempt to become a broken paradise. Once the wish was only for the completeness. When the obstacle gradually turned into parapet, I put my feet on. Clattering stops and I looked back. I turned my eyes and captured the destruction right between my vision. The path that I made was crushed by the wave of patience. I was standing still. Saving the tears. Let it go.

'Hey, book one table for a few hours. Bad news coming.'
Turned off the phone after receiving the text from Smith. He feels his heart crying with pain. Was he waiting for that?! He never expected the leaves would fall, trees would be withered, maybe he didn't even look at those while watering heartily. Wasn't the care enough? Enough for the tree to grow and spread to become a shadow on his path. When he looked up at the sky, he realised the sun hadn't shown up for mercy. Then, he thought- only water was not enough.
'I just got a crush and like you. Don't you think one relationship starts in that way and slowly turns into courageous?' Suddenly, he matches recalling the words Richardson told him to say. He sighs that he puts the suitable words perfectly.
'Look, it's true that I know you as a teammate. But it is now impossible for me to be in a relationship.'
'There's nothing impossible for a human being.'
Is he crazy?- he thought. 'I wonder you'd become mad.'
'Love is all about madness.'
'Fine. Then, admit into mental hospital.'
'Please, accept me.'
'I told you-'
'Okay, okay. Not now. You've recently got the chance. So, later or after a few days.'
'Okay. Then wait.'
It was the first time when I confessed my love towards him. How reluctant voices can become- I realised the. Two years ago from now, I first saw him picking all the chances to shine bright like a sun. There's a major point of being a junior who got selected recently. I noticed every step he took silently. I felt whenever he suffered deeply. Whether it was from far away from actual view or secretly crossing the length. I wonder each time our eyes met, he bravely saw me vanishing from the sight. But my amour was always behind him, with all the desires floating over. Flying across his aura. Mixing with the air, he breathes. Within these two years, he never denies completing my path. I was never alone there. Some time and patience were silently rushing with me. Counting every few seconds till it ends at two years. Till my suffering no longer could hold me. From beneath my feet, I feel some rebuilding moment. I looked around, I saw his aura just vanish from my path. Erasing his existence like before.

Renegades vs. Scorchers at Optus stadium,
Scorchers' home ground has never been easy for the opponent team. They have been dominating since BBL-01. They hardly lose in any game. Renegades, on the other hand, have lost four straight matches, sanding on seventh position. Their first win vs. Scorchers was in their home ground, Marvel. They were ready for the revenge Scorchers would take on their own.
It was as said, Scorcher scored 63 in tenth over with 5 down. Gades thought they were smashing wicket as before. But when Ashton Agar came with bat, it had been proved why it was Optus. He scored 51* off 30 and made the total run 147. It was even so tough for Gades as their batting line-up had never been strong. It was so true that Gades scored the lowest powerplay ever. They took only 10 runs in four overs with 4 wicket falls! And then the next batsman and captain Will Sutherland came. It was a true miracle- he smashes 5 fours and 3 sixes. It was a dream for them to win the match. Their required run rate was above 10. But he gave all the renegades fan a hope. A hope that he kept going and hitting. He played so well and ended up the run- 70 off 45. It was so handy that Tom Rogers only needed to hit a boundary as it was 2 needed of 3 balls. And he did. He did hit a four and scored 150 to kick scorchers at the fifth position with two straight loss on their home ground. The player of the match was Tom Rogers. But Will Sutherland was the game changer. He was so happy. He felt like a victory continues to amaze him. He wonders how his courage did the rest. As he said- I am winning. You'll see. I have to show everyone the reason.
'Will, I told you. Can you please stop showing up on the dressing room whenever I finish my net session? You remember what I had told you, right. I told you to wait.'
'So, you're not rejecting me, right?'
'Shut up. I don't wanna break your heart.'
'Then allow me.'
'Never.'
I never thought things would actually end like this. Smith confirmed me that he would talk to him about me. So, by the text, I thought he had already rejected me. Smith will provide me some consolation. What on earth do I deserve?
07 January, 2025 in Crown Melbourne,
Waiting on the chair straightly. Haven't seen the clock, ticking. Created a sharp boundary between trail and parapet. What was he even expecting? For 2 years!
Heard some footsteps, clattering against the ground. Never welcomed one to survive in his path. He looked at the path, from where he entered the stage, where he would listen to those unbearable words.
Why is it torturing? Why even they're late? They told me the exact time. Why aren't they bringing themselves here? Oh God! I found a silent place to end everything. Where are the sounds coming from?
Will Sutherland think sitting alone is the table. He booked it away from usual space. As a member, he got the member bonus and the food. He never wanted to share the New Year's Eve offer with the one, bringing him the news he hated for the past few years. He got no clue nor situations gave him.
He slowly started thinking about what he would do. Smith and Richardson invited him unexpectedly. And their voices weren't sounded familiar. He turned on the phone and texted them, 'Where are you two? Am waiting.' And suddenly, Richardson's reply popped up, 'Turn around.' He tosses the phone on the table, thinking- It is not even a time to joke. My feelings are not a joke. He turned his face behind and astonished, "Jack?!"
