Within chaos worlds are born…within chaos…. Worlds are consumed… what was once a peaceful space… peaceful rest for souls… now is just a chaotic mess of monstrosity! Oh! OUR Immaterium… what has become of you! OH! Immaterium WHAT HAS BECOME OF YOU! For you were once adorn in many splendors… but now you're just a hotbed for destitution for many worlds… for in those chaotic storms you brought… our world was left to rot… left to die… forgotten by time and by man… To drift every lonely as an empty husk of a once beautiful thriving world…
We watched and waited… as the orc destroyed our better half… while the tyrranids ate at us at our worst! Where was the imperium? Where were his angels? As I watched my family die… as I watched my world burn… as I watched hope die… as I beheld crying children in my arms… I watched it all…. Through my psyker eyes!
And through these eyes of mine! I… I witnessed our once beloved cities… our statues… fall and crumble away… to the sound of towering bell towers, as they gave their last songs! OH! Emperor! Were our praises not enough! Was our faith lacking? Did our world mean so little to you! Did we mean so little to you… For even now I hear them! I hear them crawling in the walls… the bugs come for us… while I hear the orc death machines on the opposite end… trapped in the middle between two undying forces… there is nothing more we can do… OH! How they are coming… OH! How they are getting closer…. Ah! The smell of soot from gunfire… The orcs are at the door… While the bugs are at my back! Hush... now children… for I'll… I'll be… I'LL BE THE BULWARK THAT OUR EMPEROR SHOULD HAVE BEEN!

As that red demon… that Khorne worshiping monster, charged unafraid of fire and bullets, the beautiful ladies dressed in red, moved as one behind trees and rock to continue the fight! But that monster fueled by chaos didn't stop… didn't flinch… he boldly tore down thick trees like toothpicks with one hand! And with the other killed without mercy! The battle sister suits were but paper to the man's strength! Surprisingly enough though, even with all that strength, that ability to ignore fire and shove off bullets, the man or demon could not stop the wounds he received by the sword from bleeding!
For as each sister gave up their lives, another would stab the man in a vacant spot! Sure, he could splinter their chains… smash their armor… but he could not quench their faith! For as Layla watched this all happening like a screen script, she realized why she fell in love with the story of Warhammer… Not for the fighting and the gore… nor was it the indomitability of the human spirit the books love to portray… na… what she fell in love with… Were moments like these… because they were fun… because she wanted to be like the sisters in some way back in her normal daily life, but could not be…
But here… she could really be whatever she decided to forge for herself into... But at this moment she also realized that she will never be them… she may act like them… eat with them… play with them… fight with them… but she will never be them! But so, what! She will live and choose her death! She will choose the moment of her demise! The when and the where! Hell, even the how! Just like how these sisters so easily sacrificed everything for an emperor… for their beliefs… They chose this death so that another sister might have a chance…
Watching this before her eyes, awakened something deep in her heart, that pleaded to her to save them… to help them… a calling form deep within… as she looked at the fragmented sword in her hand, she made one true final prayer…
As the moon hung in the sky, the red light shined on the demon as he had the canoness on one knee!
[HA! So, this is all the strength of a so-called Canoness of the battle's sister process! WEAK! And to think I wanted to spill your blood for my god! To deliver your skull to his throne like some sort of trophy! HA! I would have been the laughingstock to every daemon there!] yelled the demon
[Cough… HA! Do you really think my strength comes from some supernatural gifts like yours! I'm but a humble normal human… not a god or a demigod… nor I'm I someone special… I'm just an old woman who has been alive longer than I should be… I've watched hundreds of sisters better than I fall to the blade…] replied the Canoness
[Oh! Then do explain how you have survived this long if you didn't have the strength!] replied the demon
[simple… I had FAITH!] yelled the Canoness
And at that very moment, a burning light came down from behind the demon, as he prostrated himself before the canoness arrogantly. The moment the hot blade scorched the demon inside, the demon fell to one knee!
[what is this… WHAT IS THIS!] yelled the demon
For it was strange… the feeling the demon felt from the fire… it was not painful like he expected… but rather warm and kind… it felt oddly nice… like… like a mother hug… confused, the demon turned around just in time to see a young girl fall into his arms asleep! Normally he wouldn't hesitate to kill her… to kill anything and everything that stood in his way… but as he felt that warm fire spread throughout his body… as it calmed the chaos running through his veins… he remembers the man he used to be… what he was before he became a servant to chaos…
An effect that shouldn't be possible! For the energies running in his body should be at odds! But strangely enough that fire wasn't overpowering it by force… but was at the same time purifying the chaos within, turning the demon back into a man. At the rate that was visible to the naked eye no less! Shaken, the Canoness watched as a demon monster slowly but surely turned back into a man!
But during the process the man watched through tinted windows, as he offered up his own family to an evil god… he watched the village folk turn into blood frenzy monsters… he watched as he drained the blood from his own daughter… with so many vivid scenes running through his mind of his past action…
He turned to the Canoness and said through tear drop eyes:
[take good care of this one… and please let me die as a human… though I know it is more than I deserve for the evil I have done… it is but the smallest of penance I can offer now… for I fear when this flames light goes out… chaos will overtake me again… I DO NOT WISH TO DIE A MONSTER!] yelled the man as the fire in his gut began to fade.
Hearing the man's plea, the Canoness had the girl taken away, while she pointed her bolter at the man's head. Seeing the resolve in the man's eyes, while his body did indeed begin to change back into a monster, The Canoness didn't hesitate to fire a single round…
