What is the most important thing in cultivation?
Talent, enlightenment, skills, mentors, resources...
There are various answers, and perhaps every cultivator, combined with their own circumstances, will have all sorts of responses. However, upon synthesizing these answers, it's not difficult to find that they can generally be divided into two categories.
One category is a complaint about their own deficiencies; whatever they lack most in the process of cultivation becomes their answer.
Another category reflects those who are highly satisfied with their cultivation, believing that whatever they excel and take the most pride in is the answer.
But if you ask some of the truly supreme strong at the pinnacle, all that is nonsense.
Talent, enlightenment, skills, mentors, resources—while these may have a certain significance, they have never been important; they are not the core.
What truly is the most important in cultivation, what can one really rely on?
