Li Fan glanced at the map, then at the sky. The second sea area marked on the mission, noted for its sea monster sightings, was not far away. Reflecting on the lackluster intelligence of the 'Liuyin and Ice Jade Duo' he had seen earlier, he felt he couldn't be too reliant on them. To be safe, he decided to travel there using a water escape technique to survey the area.
Of course, the escape technique was much faster than controlling water. Li Fan, with no surprise, arrived ahead and was the first to discover the mutated sea monster in the second area.
At first glance, the creature appeared to be a stone giant from the seafloor, similar to an elemental being made up of a collection of stones that moved around the seabed like some enormous humanoid.
But after Li Fan carefully scrutinized it with his method of blind sensing, he saw through its true nature.
